Summary

The website content discusses an experiment by the author to create writing prompts based on successful Medium stories that rank on Google, with the aim of helping other writers potentially increase their visibility and earnings through the Medium Partner Program, while also offering a paid report on these prompts.

Abstract

The author of the web content is engaged in a personal project where they are generating writing prompts derived from popular Medium stories that have achieved high rankings on Google's search results. These prompts are intended to assist writers in overcoming writer's block and selecting topics that could attract more traffic to their work. The author plans to sell an extended report of these writing prompts on their BuyMeCoffee page. Despite the potential for increased visibility, the author clearly states that there are no guarantees that using these prompts will lead to higher earnings through the Medium Partner Program or improved Google rankings. The prompts are meant to guide and inspire, not to be duplicated or plagiarized. The author also shares insights from their own successful article and recommends an SEO case study and a YouTube video explaining the Skyscraper Method for better understanding of SEO strategies.

Do You Want to Write Stories Like P.S. I Love You?

This is a personal experiment that I'm sharing with you.

I'm collecting writing prompts that you can use to start writing stories the way your favorite Medium writers and Medium publications have published on Medium at the same time, rank on Google SERP (Search Engine Results Page).

And while what you read here is free, I would start to sell a more extensive report of writing prompts on my BuyMeCoffee page.

I'm using some free and paid tools to help me come up with a list of writing prompts, but I will be focusing on the keywords that stories from your favorite writers and publications rank on Google.

The rationale behind my experiment is that if a story ranks high on Google, it follows that your story will be getting traffic from Google. However, it doesn't necessarily translate that your Medium Partner Program earnings will increase, as your payments are dependent on the number of readers who happen to be Medium-paying members.

As a disclaimer —

There is no guarantee that by using any of the writing prompts, that you will be paid more or less as part of the Medium Partner Program.

There is no guarantee that, by using any of the writing prompts, that you will rank on Google.

And these writing prompts or keywords are just guides and are in no way to be used to make a duplicate copy of any story or worse plagiarized someone else’s work.

“An original idea. That can’t be too hard. The library must be full of them.”― Stephen Fry

You can use these writing prompts for when you are experiencing writer's block or if you need a topic to write about when you feel you have nothing to write.

Writing for Medium prompts Vol.1

The first Medium publication I have researched is a publication that ceased to publish new stories as of June 30, 2021.

Many people were surprised by their decision, considering that P.S. I Love You is one of the most popular Medium publications that has ever existed on this writing platform.

A few weeks ago, we were informed by Medium that they would be pulling their funding for PS I Love You. This was not all too much of a surprise, given the larger changes that have been happening around editorial at Medium. Still, it sucks. And after some difficult conversations among our team about how to proceed, we’ve decided we have no real choice but to shut down the pub. Our last day publishing new stories will be June 30.

Write like P.S. I love you prompts

  1. thank you for being you
  2. thanks for being you
  3. thank you for being who you are
  4. thank you for being you meaning
  5. thank you for being yourself
  6. thank you for being genuine
  7. thank you for being real
  8. when a guy says thank you for being you
  9. you being you
  10. I love you for being you

You can write using any of the writing prompts above, and if Google sees your story to be of the same or better quality, your story will rank on Google for the keywords above.
