Write, Release, Review, Repeat

Take care of your stories, so they take care of you

You have written a fantastic story.

You researched it, and you wrote from your heart.

Following publication, you’re excited to see how well it’s done. You had some great initial reactions, claps, and comments.

All is well in the world.

Then, the numbers dropped like a stone.

No more views, and more importantly, no reads! If you’re in it for the money, this is a big no-no!

Your hard work is gathering dust in a dark, murky, corner of Medium!

Have no fear.

There is something you can, and should, do to put this right.

The story is yours. You wrote it.

You have the freedom to revisit it, make changes, update the tags and blow off the cobwebs.

Doing this can give your stories a new lease of life. Not to mention that you can cross-promote other stories within each other.

There is no harm in caring and nurturing your creations, to get the most from them.

Top Publishing Tip

Here’s is a top tip. Whilst many publications prefer you to only publish with them, there is one publication (that I know of) that doesn’t mind if your story is already out there.

Publish it to ILLUMINATION and see how well it takes off there.

Before you disappear, I must suggest you read this story by Scot Butwell about stepping out of his comfort zone.

Thank you for reading
