Who I’m Looking For
I’m looking for advanced learners of English who would like to contribute to the publication by writing short reviews of the nonfiction books they read.
Why You Should Become a Writer for “Read to Learn”
Writing for this publication can help you:
- Reflect on what you learned from the books you read.
- Practice writing and keep improving your English.
- Start conversations with the people who comment on your stories.
- Get into the habit of writing.
What You Are Expected to Do
In your review you should answer 3 simple questions:
- Why did you decide to read this book?
- What did you learn from it?
- Why should people read this book?
This is important. Reviews that do not answer these 3 questions will not be accepted.
There are also some rules that I would ask you to follow:
- Your reviews must be in English.
- Your reviews must be about nonfiction books that you’ve already read.
- Your reviews should ideally be between 200 and 1500 words.
- Your reviews should contain at least one image of the book you read. Make sure you credit its source.
Have a look at this review I wrote as an example.
Also, feel free to share bits about yourself and your life. This will give your review a personal feel to it.
Please remember that nobody expects your English to be grammatically perfect. Just do your best. But I encourage you to use Grammarly and proofread your articles before submitting them.
I might make some minor editing before I hit publish if needed.
