As I opened this app this morning, my mind was running off some of the snippets from the wonderful stories I read here on Medium this week. These stories have stayed with me and have affected me in a myriad of ways. Some have inspired me, while others have tickled my funny bone.

A few brought me to tears and I had to grab a tissue while others have delighted my senses. They’ve made me realize what a beautiful world we live in and how fortunate I am to still be alive and healthy so I can appreciate it.

I can’t think of a better way to end this week than to spotlight them and the writers that I’m happy and privileged to follow and read on a regular basis.

First I want to say “thank you” to Bebe Nicholson for her very funny and thought provoking story…What Should You Do When Your Neighbor is Strange? | by Bebe Nicholson | Middle-Pause | Mar, 2022 | Medium

Next, if you haven’t read Wire Editor Newman’s story about losing his parents, I encourage you to. Although this is not his usual funny stuff or car stuff, it brought me to tears and it brought back some bittersweet feelings over losing my own mom. [email protected] / sadness | Refresh the Soul

Moving on I’ve discovered a new writer whose story about her beautiful wedding day brought back snippets of my own 47 years ago as it clouded my eyes with joy. Please read kt lee if you haven’t already. She’s an up and coming Star. Notes On A Wedding Day. It’s been more than 13 years, but it… | by kt lee | The Memoirist | Mar, 2022 | Medium

This next story I enjoyed was written by Deborah Camp. She usually writes wonderful stories about her cats, but I found one that informs us of the perils of being a senior and walking our dogs. It’s a valuable read for seniors…Perils of Pet Ownership: The Dreaded Fall | by Deborah Camp | ILLUMINATION | Mar, 2022 | Medium

One of the most disturbing stories I’ve read about racism and bias in the Corporate world was written by ‘legal eagle’ Misty Rae. Trust me here, the honesty and rawness of her writing stands out in this story… An Open Letter To My Former Law Firm | by Misty Rae | ILLUMINATION | Mar, 2022 | Medium

Another writer, Maria Rattray has written about her and her husbands fantastic yet harrowing, trip to a foreign country and how it turned out after she learned she was pregnant. This story renewed my thankfulness for the health care we have here in the US…Pregnant In A Third-World Country. What A Joy… | by Maria Rattray | The Authentic Eclectic | Mar, 2022 | Medium

Another great writer is Henya Drescher. Her insightful, intelligent stories on many subjects inspire me to try and become a better writer and to understand and to express myself better. Here is a recent one I totally enjoyed. See what you think? How Our Contradictions Make Us Human | by Henya Drescher | Politically Speaking | Mar, 2022 | Medium

A new writer I’ve just discovered is Lauren Lynn Bradley. She’s a nurse who writes interesting articles on health and lot of things pertaining to her profession. Check out this article Does It Matter if Your Surgeon Is a Man or a Woman? | by Lauren Lynn Bradley | Writers’ Blokke | Feb, 2022 | Medium

And last, but certainly not least is Pene Hodge She’s also a nurse and a compassionate woman and a great writer/photographer. I smiled as I read this story she recently wrote on Spring! Won’t you check it out? A Spring In Our Step. Oh the joy new life brings | by Pene Hodge | Our Souls in Words | Mar, 2022 | Medium

These are just 9 of the stories/writers I’ve enjoyed reading this week and there are many more so if I missed you and yours, don’ freak. Just come back next week as I plan to start writing one of these every week.

I have enjoyed reading other writers who showcase their favs and I’ve found some wonderful new writers this way!

I hope you will check these out and who knows…Maybe you’ll decide to follow them like I have because you enjoy them as much as I do.

Thanks for reading and thoughtful writing everyone! 💖
