YOU’RE HIRED!

If you think the competitors in your field are just other white-collar people, think again! The company Codeword just recently announced they had hired two AI interns named Aiko and Aidan to support their team of 106 human employees.

If you haven't been up to date with AI. Well, they are already starting to take over many jobs, such as fast-food workers, content writers, and even lawyers. This new AI technology is a new danger to humanity because it is one step closer to removing white-collar workers.

What will they be Doing?

Given that both interns are still new to the company, they will be starting by providing internal creative work and subsequently managing the company blog and social media page. And at the end of the task, fellow employees will evaluate and support them to learn and improve their work.

Why White-Collar Worker should be Afraid

Our society all wants the life of white-collar work. The air-conditioned, no need for physical labor, ease of work, and the best part of all is leaving exactly at 5 pm once the 9–5 work hour is met. But with AI employees, that's all about to change!

With AI employees, they don't work a 9–5; they work 24 hours a day every day. The best part of all this is they retain their learning and can be programmed and passed to other AI.

Companies would also look into hiring AI intelligence to remove human error associated. Not only that, but in the long term, companies would benefit more from relying less on smaller labor markets.

Just look at how rapidly Amazon is replacing humans with AI intelligence. In the past, Amazon mentioned that they will be creating AI robots to solve cargo lifting and do heavy-duty work. However, today it seems to be a different case altogether.

With the recent 18,000 white-collar workers laid off. Amazon will be heavily focused on improving the AI learning process and getting them to improve faster. It would be a fair assumption for me that the process of removing white-collar workers at Amazon is already starting to take effect.

What Jobs are Left to Stand?

For now, the reason for AI dominance from corporate business solely lies in two different reasons.

  • To take over jobs that are risky and not favorable to humans
  • Jobs that are high cost which can be taken over by a process learning AI

If your job falls under any of these categories, you may want to watch out as the danger of AI taking over your role may be closer than you think. In order to get the best chance of survival from the overtaking of AI, humans will one day
