It’s crazy to me that we often hear people say that if you ever fail your job, flipping burgers is an option.

Well, sorry to break it to you, but fast food restaurants are soon no longer hiring people to work. Robots will take over.

The Rise of AI and Robots

As countries all around the world are facing huge inflation, workers are demanding higher wages in order to live a comfortable standard of living. That means as prices of having people work increase, the cost of managing robots will become a relatively cheaper alternative instead.

Robots are Taking Over

As technology advances, robots are quickly becoming a more popular option in fast-food restaurants.

Having a robot on staff is far cheaper than hiring a human worker, and it’s much easier to manage. A robot won’t take breaks, make mistakes, or need to be trained. All it needs is a bit of programming and it’s good to go!

Of course, this doesn’t mean that robots are perfect. They’re often slow and limited in what they can do, and they don’t bring any of the human touches that customers love. But they’re getting better every day. Many robots are now capable of taking orders, making food, and even interacting with customers.

With this in mind, it’s easy to see why robots are taking over fast-food restaurants.

Humans will no longer be able to work Mediocre Task

Any job that is considered repetitive and dangerous can be and should be taken over by AI.

I believe we as our human population decreases, we need to have AI and robots to support us especially since we are slowly transitioning to a global aging population issue.

Every life around the world becomes a lot more valuable to work on the more important issues around the world such as the advancement of healthcare which we have just started realizing the importance of due to the pandemic.

Why it expands the Wage Gap

Although we can argue that having AI and robots taking over mediocre work is considered a huge step towards human evolution. We are now clearly expanding the wage gap.

We are in the digital revolution, where the use of mobile payment is considered a norm. However, if you have been to some developing countries, you would realize that not all counties face the same prosperity.

Many developing countries such as Vietnam, Myanmar, and Thailand are heavily reliant on manual labor and the use of AI robots has not caught up to them.

Be Adaptive and Evolve Faster than the Changes we are Facing

No doubt many businesses will go bankrupt as soon as AI is able to take over these businesses. I don’t believe any party is to blame here.

Instead, we need to learn and understand how we can improve and learn skills that are not replicable that an AI can take over.
