Words Of Transformation

Flowing from the heart- Guest prompt Bingz Huang

“If you’ve chosen to focus on a particular word for the year 2021, what are your experiences and insights from embodying and reflecting on this word for the past half year?”

This beautiful prompt from Bingz Huang got me thinking about what my word for this year would’ve been, had I chosen one.

To be honest I couldn’t settle on just one word. So many come to mind.

Writing has empowered me in ways I never would’ve guessed.

It has allowed me to focus on myself and carve out well-needed time to reflect and work on myself.

Writing has given me a sense of freedom that has transformed and changed me in many ways. And reading has opened new corridors in my mind and heart.

It has challenged me to accept myself, to learn to love myself.

It has tested me to get in tune with my truths and stop denying or confining myself to an image I had of myself for so long.

So although I couldn’t decide on one word, I have chosen to write about how words, in general, have uplifted and inspired me.

I am on a path of self-discovery since allowing space to be created for my writing and creativity.

Simply by chance, my writing may have helped someone else in the process too- I hope.

“A drop of ink may make a million think.” ― George Gordon Byron

Creation of space, Resolution of pain, Healing soul, Unity, Duality, Dissolution.

Freedom recovering, Truth unearthed, Trust in heart and self, Love, Compassion, Gentleness.

Uncovering secrets, Long lost treasures, Adventuring in inner worlds, Intuition, Independence, Inspiration.

This poem is the finale to Bingz Huang’s beautiful prompt. I couldn’t choose a single word but chose to write a poem to describe my year so far.

I’ve searched my mind and heart far and wide and discovered and uncovered so much. I am adventuring and exploring the depths of my soul.

I am still healing, still growing, still changing.

I always will be, and with this knowledge, I choose to honour myself with all I am, all I’m continually becoming, and all I will be. To trust in the universe and to be courageous enough to keep being me.

Feel free to contribute to Bingz Huang’s lovely publication Gentleness Ambassadors too! July’s prompt created by me is all about Dissolution and asks, What in your life can you allow to dissolve?

Thanks Bingz Huang for your inspiring prompt❤🙏! Also thanks to Diana C. for your brilliant work in KTHT and for the creation of the fabulous guest prompts, participating is so fun and inspiring❤👏!
