Woody Allen Had a Lot of People under His Spell, Ask Rosie O’Donnell
I wrote a story about Woody Allen and I got a lot of Twitter hate
I wrote a story about Woody Allen, him being both a father and brother-in-law to his adopted daughter, Dylan Farrow.
Let me just say, their relationship is complicated.
It only had a few readers. But boy, did I get a lot of Twitter hate.
What is funny is that none of them, my haters — read my story.
Some of the tweets called me stupid and ignorant. I guess my tweet triggered a lot of people who are under his spell as what Rosie O’Donnell said while she was a guest on The Howard Stern Show on Sept. 12.
Woody Allen’s spell
Rosie O’Donnell rejected a part in the movie Sweet and Lowdown in 1999 to which she was even surprised that she was even considered by Woody Allen to be part of that movie.
A Woody Allen representative reached out to Rosie, even after she did her HBO Special where she talked about the beleaguered director and the allegations of sexual abuse by her adopted daughter Dylan.
“Can you believe the nerve of this guy? Showing up in public with his lover-slash-daughter,” O’Donnell said. “Incest, Woody. It’s a word. Look it up. Pedophile. What a concept. Rosie didn’t do the movie and she also became friends with Mia Farrow who reached out to her after learning of what Rosie did.
Mia said she lost a lot of friends who abandoned her.
It has been 30 years, and Dylan Farrow stands by her allegations against Woody Allen.
Allen who at 86 remains married to Dylan’s sister, another adopted daughter of Mia Farrow, Soon-Yi.
So, I stand by the title of the story I wrote about Woody Allen, that he is both a father and a brother-in-law to Dylan Farrow.
Woody Allen was said to be retiring, but that statement had been denied by Allen, he has since been doing most of his movies in Europe where he remains popular.
And the tweets that I received proved that to be true, many of the ‘angry tweets’ came from Europeans or at least they appear to be Europeans on Twitter.
Let me echo what Rosie O’Donnell said to Howard Stern,

And they may not be reading my story, worse they don’t believe Dylan’s accusations but they sure appear to be under Woody Allen’s spell.

Woody Allen is a living testament to the way our society fails the survivors of sexual assault and abuse.
So imagine your seven-year-old daughter being led into an attic by Woody Allen. Imagine she spends a lifetime stricken with nausea at the mention of his name. Imagine a world that celebrates her tormenter.
