Summary

The website content reveals insights into women's sexual fantasies based on Google search data, highlighting a preference for dominant, aggressive, and high-status male characters in literary pornographic fantasies.

Abstract

The article discusses the findings from the book "A Billion Wicked Thoughts," written by Google software engineers, which provides a glimpse into women's sexual desires through their online search patterns. Contrasting with men's preferences for visual pornographic content, women tend to favor narratives involving dominant male figures. The data suggests that the most captivating fantasies for women involve romantic relationships with dangerous yet ultimately tameable men, such as werewolves, vampires, pirates, billionaires, and surgeons. Jordan Peterson, a renowned psychologist, interprets this trend as an expression of women's attraction to predatory dominance, aggression, and high social status in men. The article concludes by suggesting that men should embrace their "dangerous" side while maintaining civility, drawing a parallel to the "female hero myth."

Opinions

  • The article implies that the data presented in "A Billion Wicked Thoughts" is more credible because it is compiled by engineers rather than social scientists, suggesting a focus on empirical data over ethical considerations.
  • Jordan Peterson is cited as finding the book particularly interesting and authentic, which lends credibility to the interpretation of the data from a psychological perspective.
  • The preference for dominant and aggressive male characters in women's sexual fantasies is supported by the popularity of media such as the Twilight series, which aligns with the data's implications.
  • The concept of "taming" the dangerous man in women's fantasies is likened to "the female hero myth," suggesting a narrative where women are drawn to the challenge and potential transformation of a powerful but untamed partner.
  • The article advises men that to be attractive, they should exhibit a balance between danger and civility, implying that this duality aligns with evolutionary or psychological female desires.

What women desire according to the data

What are the deepest sexual desires of women? A hint could be given by google search queries. In the book “A Billion Wicked Thoughts,” Google software engineers presented their data.

With crazy results, I think.

The famous psychologist Jordan Peterson also talked about this interesting book in one of his lectures I recently watched.

According to Peterson, this book is particularly interesting and authentic because it is written by engineers rather than social scientists. Therefore, the hard facts are much more in the foreground than concerns regarding the “ethics” of this book.

What the data tells us

The first interesting finding is that men search for images or videos with pornographic content while women are more likely to search for literary representations of pornographic content.

The most interesting part is probably this: a plot analysis of the typical female pornographic fantasy. The engineers found that one particular type of literary porn depiction is especially popular. A young and attractive woman meets a man who is dangerous in a way. A bit of a monster if you will. Think beauty and the beast. 5 types of these monsters are especially popular:

  • Werewolf
  • Vampire
  • Pirate
  • Billionaire
  • Surgeon

Kind of funny. I mean, really?

But when you think about it, it confirms itself. Why are vampire series and movies like Twilight so popular?

Dr. Peterson explains this phenomenon with the female desire for predatory dominance, aggression, and a high position in the male dominance hierarchy in a man.

The erotic story continues.

The woman manages to tame this dangerous aggressive man.

Again: Think of beauty and the beast.

Peterson calls this “the female hero myth”.

What we men can learn from this It seems that as a man you have to have a dangerous side in order to be attractive. Or at least be able to be dangerous. Embrace your dangerous side.

Could you defend your family in an emergency? The taming aspect also shows that you should not be a savage.

Rather a civilized beast.
