Every woman’s nightmare is to see their husband or boyfriend with another woman.

And to this woman, the nightmare happened while watching TV. It wasn’t on the news, as that would even be more embarrassing. We all know too well that these things happen, the story of an unfaithful man.

Even if the man tells you that they love you, anything can happen unless you put your men on a leash, but then again, if you do, will that even be love?

Before I tell you her story, reading this story was a major trigger, this reminded me of what happened to me years ago.

We do the stupidest things when we are in love or think we are in love. Even if the person we love gaslights us, we stay until we reach the end of the straw, and with courage, we walk away.

But to this woman, she didn’t walk away. Instead, she shared her experience where else but on TikTok. And hold your horses, her story wasn’t about an unfaithful boyfriend.

Summer Again 2021

It is a popular TV show in China, produced by a Chinese on-demand video streaming service company, iQIYI International, based in Singapore, but it is listed on Nasdaq. It makes Asian TV shows with drama and anime the most dominant themes.

On their website, it says Summer Again is about young love.

Description — Tong Xi, a ballet dancer, is forced to return from the big city to her hometown due to her mother’s job transfer. She wants to hide her tough girl character by transferring to another school, but is seen through by her childhood friend, Lin Nan Yi, who knows her roots and can’t get along with her.

Tong Xi is acting while Li Nan Yi is trying to blow her cover. From frequent misunderstandings to mutual help, the couples gradually develop a tacit understanding and reliance on each other in their daily life with a group of small-town students. However, Tong Xi learns that Lin Nan Yi is the comic god she has admired for a long time.

When the confusion in the process of finding the dreams hits the young and ignorant girl’s feelings, this destined fate will lead off a sweet and joyful growing-up-in-the-campus story. And there are many more separations and reunions belonging to them……

So here’s what happened, according to Rianne Meijer, in her now-viral TikTok video that while watching Summer Love, the show edited her photo with her boyfriend and changed her face with that of the lead character.

In the pinned comment, she said that everything was OK and that the show had said sorry for the ‘incident.’ The now-viral photo was first posted on her Instagram account on Valentine’s Day taken at the Park Hotel Vitznau in Vitznau, Switzerland.

The show’s staff might be looking for a photo of a cute couple, using the hashtag #cutecouple, and decided to photoshop the couple’s picture without asking for permission.

“The internet is a funny place,” Meijer wrote in the video caption.

While Meijer laughed about it, netizens were up in arms, especially after knowing there was a Chinese connection in the story. Racism is very much real online.

Some were even suggesting that she sues the company for copyright infringement, but Meijer decided to follow what Michelle Obama said,

Michelle Obama: ‘When They Go Low, We Go High’

All ends well for Rianne Meijer. She has since gotten more followers on Instagram and TikTok. I guess it pays to be the nice girl.

But although this ended without any major drama, anyone posting photos on social media should consider some form of identity theft protection. Because who knows why people use other people’s photos other than to victimize you.
