Wish Me Good Luck 🌸

There’s always a glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel.

December 4th, 2023

I registered for the sport I love the most (well, one of the sports I love the most).

Let’s rewind to a week before December 4th.

November 27th, 2023, Monday, at 11:00 am,

I received an email in my office Outlook with the subject

ā€œWe play Tennis.ā€

My eyes lit up the moment I read the subject and quickly skimmed through the content.

It was a call for employees to register for the company’s tennis tournament. Regardless of your skill level, if you’re interested, enroll yourself.

I’ve watched this game for 20 years. I know every bit of its rules, and terms, and follow them closely, but I’ve never played.

I immediately enrolled myself in the tournament.

Today

Only a few hours to go before it turns February 24th, 2024. The day when the tournament starts.

It’s a two-day tournament.

I am taking part in amateur singles and mixed doubles. I’m not sure where I’ll end up, but what I know is I’m going to have a great time and enjoy the two days in Frankfurt.

Life is full of Surprises

In just 100 days, I’ve gone from never having played the game to participating in an official tournament. Life is brimming with surprises. You never know what awaits you. Stay positive; there’s always a glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel.

Wish me luck, and I’ll definitely update you all on how the tournament went.
