SPRING REPORT WEEK 7.2

Wildflowers in yellow, white, pink and violet covering the forest floors

No surprise that wildflowers are all around. I recently presented you the white-and-pinkish Anemonoides nemorosa. Here I bring you shots of fields covered with this same flower and with a yellow relative, which I think is Anemonoides ranunculoides. Meanwhile, several deep violet flowers still thrive.

Shoot me yellow

Here is a patch of forest covered with, I think, Anemonoides ranunculoides:

These flowers are not very regular in their structures. Although most have 6 petals, it’s very easy to find other numbers of petals. Here in this next shot, you get to see a flower with 6 petals on the left and one with 7 petals on the right:

White fields and pink patches

This one is Anemonoides nemorosa, mostly white but with some hues of pink that sometimes are actually quite strong:

I featured this wildflower in recent stories, which have been all around for a couple of weeks already:

Painting large fields in white:

And placing here and there patches of pink, too:

Still quite some violet too

Last, violet still thrives in many spots all around the forest:

To discover more about this peculiar spring, stunningly sunny and with a surprising snowstorm…
