Why You Should Randomly Tag Some of Your Quieter Followers With a Prompt
Let’s get more writers on Illumination, not just followers!
It’s no secret that I am one of the top writers on Illumination. People love me, and they love my witty sense of humor. Women want to be with me, men want to be me, babies want to shake my hand.
It’s not really fair that I get all of this attention. There are so many other writers who deserve the chance to try and be me.
And since I am so caring and benevolent, I’d like to give those writers a chance to be heard. What, you say? But Chuck, you’ve worked so hard to get to the top. Why would you risk it all?
Well, that’s just the kinda guy I am. Besides, it’s highly unlikely someone will dethrone me. I’m far more beloved than they ever will be.
So here is my proposition: With over 14,500 followers of ILLUMINATION, most of whom, I presume, are writers themselves, I thought it would be interesting for us to randomly choose from our own followers, or the list of ILLUMINATION followers, just five names and ask them to write an article. They would, of course, tag us back, as well as four of their own followers and ask them to write from a prompt as well.
And with ILLUMINATION, we know they will get published, read, clapped and commented on. What better encouragement for someone to throw the covers off their heads, get out of bed, and write! You cannot be a writer if you do not write. And ILLUMINATION is the best spot because it is safe and friendly and supportive
The purpose behind this exercise is not to irritate people (though there are some I may tag just TO irritate them). No, the purpose is to give them a chance to show us their voice and exercise their writing chops. It will also give us more choices of articles to read from vastly different perspectives.
Please, if you don’t want to play, that’s okay. Just ignore the tag and prompt, crawl back into bed, and hide from the world. No one will think poorly of you.
I mean, I don’t mind reading the same 20 or so writers all the time. I really enjoy their writing. But I did notice in many of the interviews the Doc did with ILLUMINATION writers that many of the same writers were mentioned as favorites, and many of those writers are pretty prolific. Unfortunately, the Doc seemed to omit my name from some of those interviews, but I am sure that was just a typo.
So, what do you say? Is this legal? If not, do it anyway and let’s get some of these writers out of their comfort zones.
And you top writers #2–20? Grab a name or two from your followers and tag them on your next article and ask them to write something and tag you back. Then when they do, comment and encourage. I am sure we will find some glorious writers out there.
So, here is my prompt: If you were Chuck Roast and received this prompt, what would you write about?
Don’t be offended, but I am going to tag 5 writers whose names I do not recognize from articles. You may be a prolific writer, and if you are, sorry I don’t recognize your name. But please write something anyway. Aim for the humorous and/or the satire.
First five: Alex Arpala Teenagr America Zed Daniel Lawson and just for fun, Eli Snow, who confounded me earlier with her poetry.
Whattaya say, folks? Give it a try. Nothing to lose.
And I wholeheartedly look forward to reading it. Don’t forget to tag me.
Mental Health is more important today than ever. If you are feeling down, reach out and talk with someone. I hope you got a laugh out of this, and it helped lighten your mood.
