Remember The Founders and Their Reasons
In today’s world, a lesson unheeded
Remember the Reason
I sit and watch as The world changes over, I Want to stand, fight, Or Should I accept the new me And follow the same sheep-le
Or can I become Once again the sheepdog and Watch over my flock And chase away all the wolves Who threaten the “old” normal
My inner sheepdog Begs, “Let me loose. I must fight!” My body betrays, My mind is what’s left to fight, My words must be the sheepdog.
My words can cut sharp Will words alone be enough Just Words can start a Change. Now, they just observe. Soon, Young sheepdogs must understand
It is their burden To carry the torch That starts the fire in the hearts Of Men and Women who walk Upon the dangerous path
Whose only duty, Sworn to uphold despite fear, To protect the sheep From enemies foreign and Domestic and to bear faith
To carry the weight of history, young shoulders To bear the burden Of the Founders and the past And the lives lost, for Freedom.
