There are even Facebook memes about local celebrities in my country starting a countdown of days until they get separated.

People are making a laughing stock about it as if divorce — and separation are usual nowadays.

And If you have ever wondered why it seems like most celebrities always get divorced or separated, you are not alone.

There are few Hollywood stars and Forbes rich men I have in mind that have undergone divorce or annulment after getting married and having kids.

It is a question that baffled many people — including myself.

While there are no definitive answers, there are a few theories that might help explain this phenomenon.

Let us stop watching fairytale movies.

The first theory is that celebrities are likely to meet and marry others of their kind — celebrities.

While it is true that opposites sometimes attract, some relationships have shown people are more likely to fall — with similar backgrounds and interests.

So it stands to reason that if two celebrities share the same lifestyle and values, they are more likely to stay together than two people from different walks of life.

The weighing scale principle

The nature of fame and fortune can be a recipe for disaster when it comes to relationships.

And now they are taking it back — retrieve, delete — and maybe sooner or later, repeat the script. Some believe that divorce is usual among celebrities because they are more aware of their options.

Celebrity or not — it makes them more likely to consider divorce as an option if they are unhappy in their relationships.
