Why I Like My Dog Better Than Most Humans
I mean . . . it makes sense

For starters, let’s just face it, she’s cuter than almost all of us. I’m sorry if you weren’t already aware of how cute my dog is in comparison to most Homo sapiens, but it’s a fact. See for yourself. I am going to share plenty of pictures for you to feast your eyes on. I am quite sure that by the end of the 3–4 minutes it takes you to get through this article, you will agree.

Unlike a lot of people, she knows what loyalty is. She believes I am the coolest person alive, no matter what. I like that about her. She wants to go where I go because she honestly enjoys spending time with me. Companions are a necessity in life, don’t you think? Especially cute ones.

She likes to cuddle, even if I’m acting as cuddly as a barracuda. No matter how grumpy I am, she loves me completely, and she truly enjoys being close to me.

When I am at my desk, she is almost always right behind me because she loves me so much that she needs to feel me close to her. How cool does that make me feel? I mean, I am practically Elvis Presley (or whoever is actually popular now and hasn’t been dead for, like, a hundred years) in Sadie’s eyes.

She thinks I am beautiful, even though I work from home and look like lukewarm cow dung almost all the time. The love and admiration in her puppy-dog eyes have gotten me through many a rough day.
She never wants me to be lonely. Or even alone. For two seconds. As evidenced by the fact that I am not allowed to use the bathroom without her as an audience . . . unless I close the door in her face, in which case she sits faithfully outside and often whimpers until I return to her realm of sight. (Sometimes I don’t actually appreciate this.)

She’s entertaining. Whether it’s chasing a random mosquito hawk who managed to get in the house in the summer or stealing my blankets to cover herself up, she is all things adorable and hilarious, wrapped into one tiny doggy package.

She likes to do cool things with me, and she always admires my works of art (or my daughters’), like this glorious masterpiece.

She also understands the importance of vitamin D and makes sure to set aside time to bathe in her sun puddles regularly. I mean, how can you resist someone so cute and obviously genius-level intelligent?
I’m sure by now you can see why Sadie is cooler than most humans, so I’m going to end this here.
Do you have any pets? Animals are one of the best gifts in life, so I want to see them all! If you feel inspired to write a love letter to your furbaby, feel free to tag me in it. 😊
