Why I Chose Payhip to Create my Online Course
I finally found a course platform that’s just right for me.

For years I’ve wanted to create a digital course, but I got side tracked in my search for the perfect online course platform.
Like Goldilocks I couldn’t find the one that was just right for me. They were too simple or too difficult or too blah. And believe me I checked out ALL the course platforms the gurus recommended.

I was on a quest for the perfect tool that was easy and fun to use, inexpensive, lightweight and didn’t require a long learning curve.
I was searching for a long, long time.
But finally I found what I was looking for with Payhip.
It was worth the wait.

Payhip has been around for a while helping people sell digital products and services online, but in February 2022 they added an online course component to the mix. And boy is it a game changer!
I decided to take Payhip for a spin when I became super frustrated creating my Getting Visible on Medium class in another course builder.
I was able to add all my lessons and tutorial videos in Payhip quickly and create a beautiful sales page with their store builder in record time.
It’s such a joy to use! I finally found a tool that supported my creative process rather than blocking it.
Here’s what I like about it:
- The interface is clean and not cluttered with too many options. It’s designed to be flexible and easy to use.
- You can set up modules with lessons for videos, text, embeds, downloads, surveys, quizzes, and assignments.

- You can create sections with lessons and drag and drop them easily if you need to move things around.
- You can embed files from YouTube, Vimeo, Wistia, SoundCloud, Reddit and many more.
- You can preview individual lessons or view the entire course as if you were an enrolled student.
- You can drip your course over time or make all the lessons available to students.
- Using the Store Builder you can create a professional looking sales page fast and add images, text, FAQs and About Me sections.
- You can integrate your mailing list for many of the most popular services like ConvertKit, AWeber, MailChimp, Mad Mini, MailerLite, etc.
- You can even add blog posts to your store.
- And best of all their customer service rocks! I had a couple of techie questions come up and they answered them quickly so I could launch my course.
Takeaway
Creating an online course can be daunting, but it doesn’t have to be. All it takes is finding a topic that you’re passionate about (in my case Medium), the willingness to set a goal and stick to it, and a course builder that makes it easy to build and launch it.
Key Message: Finding the right tool to create your online course can make all the difference between launching or just dreaming about it.
Try it out for yourself and see what you can create.
P.S. If you have questions about the process of building a course or using Payhip, just let me know in the comments.
