Why Every Man Should Try Online Dating As A Woman
Catfishing as a learning experience.
I was hanging out with a friend recently talking about online dating. I told him he should reverse lookup the guy he was planning on meeting up with soon. He claimed he knew this guy was real. Why? Because he had an Instagram account? No, because he could tell because he went through a period where he catfished online.
Before I could reprimand him, he said: “Every man should try online dating as a woman.” I stopped to listen. “Men should know what women go through. Men are gross.”
I hadn’t expected to hear that.
He said the profiles he set up were female-ish but also vague, so technically could go either way.
And he’d get rapid-fire messages from guys.

> [dick pic with better lighting]
> [dick pic from another angle]
Guys wouldn’t even wait for a response. They’d just drop dick without even a hello back.
Even my gay friend was offended.
“Why? Why are you sending a dick pic? I haven’t even said hello!” he yelled at his phone.
I said he’s irresistible, even as a maybe-woman.
“No. Men are just disgusting creatures!”
We laughed.
“I mean, they didn’t even know if I was really a woman. My profile was vague,” he told me.
“It gave me so much insight into what women have to deal with. I wish every man would try it. Not to be mean. But to understand how absolutely wrong their approach is. And get it right.”
What, sending a dick pic before getting a return greeting isn’t right?
He said he had to turn off some of the apps because it was just constant dick pics coming through for this maybe-woman.
“How do you deal with it?” he asked.
“I’ve never tried online dating,” I replied.
He nodded. “You’re so wise.”
But I do admit: now I am curious. I’m debating about starting a profile to see what happens. Maybe I’ll find the guy of my dreams. Or maybe I’ll get grossed out and be shown a relative. Who knows?
I’d always assumed online dating would be similar for gay men online. They’d just dick pic each other a few times then exchange locations if there was mutual dick interest to check out the merchandise in person.
Apparently, that’s not what happens.
Damn.
I think it’s sound advice for men to try online dating as a woman. Just make sure to stop the charade before someone is flying halfway across the world to meet their “dreamgirl” only to find a “dreamdude.”
I’m fine with finding love with whomever and wherever you can. But not everybody is.
Be safe out there, friends. And I hope you find your person preferably by exchanging words before genital pics. But you do you. And then do each other. It’s only fair.
