Why Are You So Cruel? You Made The Poor Banana So Sad
You always slip from everyone’s memories for some reason!

I was inspired to write this by Michael L Butler’s fantastic story on fruit. If you haven’t read it, go ahead and check it out at the bottom of this story! I assure you, you won’t regret it.
Now, let’s ask ourselves this question and answer honestly.
How long does it take to eat a piece of fruit?
We have to be real here. It probably takes you a few minutes, tops.
In fact, it takes less time to prepare fruit than to prepare an entire meal.
Maybe even a colourful, nutritious fruit platter.
Yet why is fruit always the last one to be thought of?

When you offer fruit to someone, don’t you often get the “Oh, I’m too full” excuse? That’s what my dad tells me!
Sure, you weren’t “too full” for that fat juicy steak were you?
He’s demolished the steak down to the last succulent piece, but he was “too full” for fruit.
Ok, I’m also guilty.
I was responding to Michael on his story about this.
I often bring a banana to work. You know, it’s the easiest type of fruit.
No cutting or peeling. It’s quite convenient. You can devour a banana in the blink of an eye and it’s an incredibly nutritious piece of fruit.
They contain all kinds of essential nutrients, like fibre, potassium, and vitamin C. Everything that your body needs to be energized for writing!
But why, oh why, do I often end up just bringing home said banana?
At the beginning of the day, I toss it in my lunch bag for work.
Then, it sits there all day, all by its lonesome self. Feeling all neglected. I don’t even give it any attention.
And then I bring it home again, only to go through the same routine the next day! Until the poor banana starts turning brown, then black. I feel so bad.

So what’s the takeaway from this?
Eat your fruit, especially the bananas! That’s all!
Before you go, I do have one last question for you.
How do you peel a banana? From the “handle” or from the bottom?
I’ll go first. I peel it from the handle.
Don’t worry, I’m just curious. I’ll keep any kind of judgment to myself.
Here’s Michael’s story! Don’t forget to read it too!
