Why A Good Routine Can Work Wonders…

Let’s face it, not all people have their lives in perfect order. They would probably even openly admit to the fact. When it comes to things like having a daily routine, the truth is for many people this only involves managing to wake up to morning coffee and then heading off to work in a hurry.

That’s what I used to think too. Until fate/destiny led me to google the meaning of the seemingly big word called ‘productivity’ since someone had mentioned it casually in conversation. I wanted to know more about how to be more productive. As I read further, I found many interesting stories and opinions about how a daily routine could help me personally to become more productive.

Why I Started A Daily Routine Habit

I started to query close friends about how to do this. A good friend called Eva told me how waking up a little earlier was helping her immensely. She said that as part of her routine, she woke up an hour earlier so that she could do some precious things like morning writing.

Eva confided that even though she worked a regular 9–5 job as a receptionist, she always wanted to write more. Even as a child, writing was her first love, and she had a natural talent as a writer. Waking up earlier allowed Eva to complete the first few chapters of a book she is working on. Eva’s story inspired me to also, try to follow a routine, since that way I would get more time to do the things I loved most.

A Few Benefits Of A Daily Routine

Like Eva, many people who follow routines find them to be a source of both joy and fulfillment. Some of the great reasons to follow a routine are:-

People who have not managed to follow some sort of routine in their day, often feel they are more prone to stress. One of the wonderful benefits of following a routine is being less affected by stress.
