Where Do I Find Myself?
You must know yourself, to find yourself. — Annelise Lords

Reading Jason McLay’s How Imagination Makes Dreams a Reality, and he asked, “Where do I find myself?”
Today’s writing comes inspired by @Angelinaderarakelian, who has recently posted a request for writers to share a quote for her, “Inspire Writers Challenge” #Inspire Writers.
A better question might be, “Where do I find myself?”
I wonder. I know lots of people who are still searching for themselves, and they are over sixty years old. You must know yourself, to find yourself. — Annelise Lords If you know yourself, then no one can tell you who you are. — Annelise Lords
You are in your actions, choices, and decisions As it tells the world about your thoughts and life positions
You are in your failure and your success Learning and surviving during life’s stress
You are in your imagination Improving your brain while on various adventurous expeditions
You are in your dreams and realities You hold the key to all possibilities
You are in how you feel You can be fake, or be real
You are in what you believe You can be aware or be naive
You are in your likes and dislikes Teaching yourself to enjoy life without strikes
You are in your job And you aren’t a slob
You are in the positive and negative things you do Choosing to be happy, when life burns you like a barbecue
You are in the lies and truth you tell yourself and others, Being truthful shouldn’t be a bother
You are in the love and hatred you share. But you chose love because you do care
You are in how you dress Whether you are comfortable or want to impress Hiding or showing your distress
You are in your power of words Speaking to humans, animals, or birds
You are in the laughter and the sorrow humanity gives Because you learn when and how to forgive
You are in the chaos and happiness you face every day But you know which to keep at bay
You are in the kindness and cruelty you sometimes extend Life showed you what to keep and what to end
You are in the honesty and dishonesty of life tests Honesty brings pain, but you aim to do your best
You are in how you look Your life can be a closed or an open book
You are in what you feed your body Your health is your responsibility
You are in what you feed your mind Create a character that makes you one-of-a-kind
You are in what you feed your soul Show the world that you are 24-karat gold
You are in your tears It sometimes shows that you care
You are in your sweat Your body is speaking from a different outlet
You are in your smiles Pulling others to you from miles
You are in your frowns Don’t let negativity pulls you down, replace it with a crown
You are in what you write Whether you are motivating or trying to incite
You are what you feed your world Life will not back down, curl or furl
You are in what you say And for the wrong words, you will pay
You are in yourself And how you live will be on a bookshelf
Be in your life Be aware of the wars and strives P.S. Many are living unaware of the hell they are living in and contributing to our world because they don’t know themselves.
Where do you find yourself?
If I leave anything out, add your own.
