When You Feel Energetically Depleted, Do This

Why you are addicted to feeling drained

“You’ve come to earth to learn how to manipulate energy.”

-Dolores Cannon-

You’re surrounded by energy. Everything is energy, it can’t be created, it can’t be taken away. It’s always here.

It’s here right now throughout this post.

So learn about it!

The majority of the global population complains about experiencing low energy levels. To be frank, most just want to feel energetically depleted.

Saying you’re low on energy is an easy excuse.

If there is one thing to understand its this:

“We live in earth, not on it.” — Joe Dispenza

The atmosphere surrounding Earth is part of Earth as a whole. We live within and not just on top of its flat surface.

We are just tiny elements that behave within it. This is why energy is all around us. Most don’t realize this due to its invisible nature. But trust me it’s always there, if you set yourself open for it, you can sense that there is more at play.

People who should really feel drained just don’t have the time for it, they are searching for solutions, they keep thriving! Reread this phrase a couple of times, and let it sink in. This can come as a shock to many, but it’s the brutal reality kicking you in the face.

Know that you don’t have the option to feel energetically depleted.

Arguably, many will refer to low energy levels when they feel sick. However, when you reconsider the idea, it’s the thought of feeling low on energy that exposed you to become sick in the first place.

Because of sickness, you can feel low on energy, but what you experience is merely an aftermath. You’ve already hypnotized yourself into the belief of being drained from it in the first place.

“No matter how bad things get, you have the power to change them!” — Joe Dispenza

On thing before anything else,

Finding that one special person in your life can feed you with all the energy in the world. This entire post could be overruled by just that one thing!

Why you want to start thinking in terms of energy?

The whole universe is a dynamic energy system.

“If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency, and vibration.”

-Nikola Tesla-

What is energy?

Perceived and invisible movement of vibration at a specific frequency.

To give you an idea, stress hormones shrink the energy field around you. The greater the energy field around you the greater the attraction of your desires will be and the greater you’ll be protected against depletion.

More light emitted means more energy and more life. It’s the motion.

Why do people feel low on energy?

Reality is that deep inside you want to feel energetically depleted.

Telling that you feel drained comes in handy. It can be used as a tool to avoid the things you don’t like to do. It has much to do with negative self-talk and not committing to the required effort.

Much has to do with your daily habits, and yes your thoughts are also part of those habits. Your thoughts are actually “the real atomic habits.

Thinking creates a feeling, and that feeling creates thinking. It’s all an expression of energy.

91% of the time you’ll experience that empty feeling when you need to wake up in the morning or just upon waking.

Here’s the thing: “Did you woke up with an alarm clock?”

You want to avoid this from happening, waking up with an alarm clock means you’ve misplanned your previous evening. Alarm clocks break your sleep cycle and it kills your mood instantly. Nobody likes to wake up by hitting snooze, most likely you didn’t finish your last and important part, restorative sleep.

That’s great, your first thoughts of the day are: “Shit, I need to wake up.

This really screws your mind early and it’s a receipt for more negativity in your day to come.

The next problem might be that while you’ve just hit snooze on your non-so-smart-phone, now you checking social media or emails straight away, not?

From this moment you enter the mentally taxing task-switching phase. You’re doomed! All of this happens before your first pleasurable thoughts and with a dehydrated brain. I hope you’ve slept with your mouth closed, otherwise, you’ll experience 40% more of that imaginary energy drainage!

Drained emotionally

When people refer to experiencing a lack of energy, in many cases they’ll mean that they’re emotionally drained. We know that sleep once again plays a huge part in the sense of feeling energized or not.

Poor sleep quality

During our sleep cycles, we reach different stages, different depths… The well-known REM phase is the latter part of a sleep cycle, this part takes care of this emotional compensation. At least also.

Many people have short on REM, they don’t reach sleep depth enough. In the short run, you can get away with it, but after a while, it takes its share. Lack of REM wears you out and the accumulated effect can mean you are energetically depleted.

The lack of sleep depth, makes you feel less resilient during your (not so) active day which results again in poor sleep quality and round and round you go until shit hits the fan.

Low activity level

Low activity means low energy.

When your activity level is low, everything gets low. If your body doesn’t transport enough nutrients throughout your body, chances are that you acquire low blood pressure which can have a negative effect on your brain activity. In the end this mix results in the sense of low energy.

Getting back on the hamster wheel from before, this doesn’t help to acquire better sleep too.

I’ve talked about sleep like forever so let’s talk about another reason,

  • No life goals
  • Non suportive partner
  • Knocked down by life for too much and perhaps too long

On one or the other way, some people say that kids drain their energy levels…

In rare cases, people with really high activity levels who don’t recover enough will eventually hit a wall.

Poor nutrition

Nutrient disbalance.

There’s no need to explain how important a healthy diet is.

Here is a stake of Nikola Tesla on food:

“The production of artificial food as a means for causing an increase of the human mass naturally suggests itself, but a direct attempt of this kind to provide nourishment does not appear to be rational, at least not for the present. Whether we could thrive on such food is very doubtful.

We are the result of ages of continuous adaptation, and we cannot radically change without unforeseen and, in all probability, disastrous consequences.”

When we talk about energy, We could dig back to the ancient Egyptians, Mesopotamians… However, I love to involve Tesla, because I think he’s one of the persons in late history that could resonate most with our modern-day perception of energy, he lived at a time when the world started to take a huge industrial shift to how we now know it.

Today we became aware that processed food isn’t that great, agreed!

Yet you’ll not die from eating a few processed products here and there. Keep it as minimal as possible, try and aim for whole fresh whole foods. The indirect effect of eating processed food seems to be largely the weight-gaining factor.

That said,

Something as important is Staying well hydrated and “electrolited.”

Early morning water consumption shakes you awake naturally.

But don’t forget “electrolytes” which are substances that conduct electricity when dissolved in water. They provide the charge that is essential for the automatic processes in the body which rely on a small electric current to function. Perhaps these are most important when it comes down to feeling energized or not.

Electrolytes interact with each other and the cells in the tissues, nerves, and muscles. A balance of different electrolytes is crucial for the body to function.

In short: Fruits and vegetables are good sources of electrolytes. Common electrolytes include sodium, potassium, calcium, and bicarbonate.

Caffeine

The double-edged sword. Caffeine should be treated as a tool! Caffeine can help you get out of a slump when you reach an adenosine drop. Yet, too much can lead to dehydration.

A nifty trick for when you would have drank a bit too much caffeine (it happens to the best) Is to consume a bit fast sugars, for instance, try and eat an apple, another thing you could try is to drink tea for a change, or supplement with L-theanine just once.

Alcohol

A drink once in a while can have some minor positive psychological effects the vasodilatation can release a tickle of stress. For some people, it can be the relief valve they need once in a while, in a certain way and because of its social aspect, it can act as a form of self-therapy.

From this point of view, a limited amount of alcohol occasionally won’t kill you. The real problem is the “limit” Most people don’t have good breaks, especially if those breaks are turned loose a bit. Therefore alcohol most often causes more harm than good. Besides, too much alcohol kills sleep quality, it reduces or even hinders you from getting into REM.

The inevitable kicker,

Always, in whatever direction we go there is no denying the sleep factor. In terms of feeling electrically charged to perform well consistently throughout your life, great sleep is just “the Mekka.

Horrendous social environment

The positive twitch.

How do you feel about the most people who you surround yourself with?

For instance, tension and passive-aggressive energy can slowly drain your power. So, start doing the things you would do if you didn’t care about approval from other people.

We learn best through social interaction. It’s incredible how much we absorb from our environment subconsciously. You could say that we feed ourselves from our environment. Pure energy involves love and joy.

What’s less great, is that we are prone to absorb negative elements easier than the positive stimuli.

“Your body follows the mind.”

-Joe Dispenza-

Your environment matters a ton, in short:

Let’s say you live in a big apartment building downtown, with non-to terrible view. You just keep the windows blinded because it doesn’t matter anyway.

It’s a very crowdy building with many bigger families living there and poor isolation. There’s lots of noise over there, and it hinders your time to sleep in, at given moments you can actually hear people fight verbally… and more of such around, you get the idea right?

“Where you place your attention, you place your energy.”

-Joe Dispenza-

Everything that your mind picks up from your environment has an influence. Whether that’s low UV-light ingress, and absorption, whether that’s the stress from hearing other people’s struggles, whether it’s because you can’t reach sleep depth… It leads to poor nutrition, it keeps your daily activity low…. Your social environment matters hugely.

When you feel energetically depleted for a longer time and want to find a way out, chances are that a shifting social environment might do the trick for you.

You see, you’re not low on energy, the energy is always there.

What’s really going on is that the energy from your immediate surroundings are the preferred energy for you. They inhibit you from operating at your full levels, and it bothers you so much that you hypnotize yourself into the belief that your energy level is low.

The mighty self-motivator of Napoleon Hill:

“Do it now”

Change something now. Make it a habit to tell yourself this from the moment you try to procrastinate.

You have to get rid of the idea that it’s you. Don’t stall. Seek for the environment which brings you joy, an environment that challenges you to be your best, a space where you can naturally breathe well.

Location on earth

A brighter world creates bright people easier.

After what’s said earlier, this plays a significant role.

Location on Earth matters much due to the weather seasons. Weather seasons have a huge effect on our state of being. The availability of sunlight is one important factor for instance.

How do you deal with energy depletion?

Come out of your shell. Subject yourself to greater energy sources. Learn to absorb energy with the least amount of effort.

You have the ability to turn the tide by thoughts but it takes a repetitive amount of effort. You need to be willing.

1. Reflect

A dead-simple first step in the good direction can be to create small mental victories.

As mentioned earlier, a mental effort is also a form of movement. By reflecting on something positive from your past, you simulate mental winnings.

See it as training to become stronger once again. When done repetitively you’ll allow yourself to build a bit more confidence.

2. Create a new perspective

What are your next steps in life?

What’s your interest yet not ever really engaged in?

Imagine yourself walking as your future self. The more mental rehearsal the more physical change there will appear.

Our thoughts are extremely powerful, you have the ability not to change your genes but to alter your genetic expressions which can fabricate our future selves when the “electromagnetic desire” or “feeling of the heart” is in place.

3. Get Moving

Increase your blood flow and feel more energized. But understand that Emotional motion is movement too.

“Movement is life. “ — Nikola Tesla

Now you can hit the gym or start doing that beloved hobby you’ve been thinking about lately. Engage in the thing that requires you to move around more, commit to it.

Often low activity levels go hand in hand with losing weight. Once you start to undertake incremental (and more physical) steps in this direction you’ll experience a great gain of energy.

From a neuroscientific understanding, the mind is your brain in action. So when you aren’t physically moving much, or your daily activity level is extremely low (which isn’t that healthy in numerous ways either.) You can still make sure your brain gets stimulated.

A few simple ways to stimulate your brain without high physical activity:

  • Think about one task you will perform tomorrow (Keep it simple)
  • Read a book or attend an online course
  • Socialize with your loved ones (Learn to pay attention and listen)

4. Deep Nasal Breathing Technique

Aim for deep diaphragmatic breaths for at least five minutes per day.

This will help you be more receptive to energy. You can rehearse this the first thing when you wake up or just before sleep. If possible, blend in a noon session, it will do wonders.

Eliminate distractions. You want to sit upright to remain alert and relaxed.

Inhale and hold for five seconds, and then exhale and empty your stomach for five seconds once more.

This helps dissipate past emotional baggage to make way for new requests. Deep nasal breathing is something all of us can benefit from. The practice itself can lead to better sleep quality as well due to your upgraded airway usage.

The power of your breath works like a magic pill. If you would want to learn more, I acquired a decent amount of knowledge about how important the functioning of our breathing technique is by reading the book: “BREATH” by James Nestor.

5. Affirmations

Rewire towards positive change.

Here you can balance specific chakra. Repetitive affirmations induce healing energy to that specific energy center. See it as a craft that rewires the patterns subconsciously and sends healing vibrations to the desired chakra.

The Journal of Social Cognitive and Affective Neuroscience

The reward center of the brain responds the same as it were other pleasurable experiences.

Affirmation takes control of our reward circuits which can be quite powerful.

Positive vibrations by practice. Repeat them in your mind, write them in your journal, Speak them out loud.

6. Other people

Some people feed themselves with others.

No, I’m not talking about cannibals. I’m talking about extroverts.

Some people enjoy the attention of other people and it feeds them energy as their day passes by working towards a peak. Extroverted people tend to start their days slow and gain momentum. As their day passes by they tackle task by task, it feeds them.

I noticed a huge problem during the covid-thing.

Especially those who lean more extrovert side of the personality spectrum that I know suffered a lot while undergoing longer periods of quarantine.

Extraverts who don’t come out often will claim to feel less energetic, but once again, it’s not them it’s the environment they are subjected to.

Behave in these environments:

  • Positive and knowledgeable people
  • Organized systems (importance of timing)
  • Increase your EQ massively by studying social behavior
  • With the possibility of reaching out for the medication required to cure, you could gain enormous awareness about the ins and outs of pharmaceutics.

They say you are the average of the five people you spend most of your time with. Well, guess what…It’s the vicinity of those energetic people that will energize you too. Just remember what I’ve told you in the beginning about having that one person in your life.

7. Sunlight

How are we not the most magnificent artificial inventions already?

“The cosmic energy, whose central source for the Earth is the Sun and which is everywhere present in unlimited quantities.”

-Nikola Tesla-

There is just no way you can be energetically depleted with this unbelievable source available at all times. Get in contact with nature because we are what we absorb.

This also means during winter times! Most people refer to sunlight as sunbathing…

Let me ask you this: “How much do you go out during the winter?”

When we talk about feeling energetic, 80% of the cases will occur during the longer darker winters. Why? Well first due to the lower period of sunlight available. But secondly, many people hide inside during the winter, it’s too cold, it’s raining…

Look, nature is nature, whether it’s raining, windy, cold, or naked-bathing weather. Learn to enjoy the elements of nature at all costs. And know that we are always hypnotized by sunlight.

I was working in countries like the United Emirates as well and I can assure you that working in extremely hot temperatures is also not advisable.

You’ll benefit hugely when you come more outside during winter periods too thrust me. When I’m at sea, I never felt more alive while working in colder weather while it’s raining or when seawater spray hits my face. Yea surely it’s not always that nice, but you need to learn and like these moments too.

Perhaps this can solve your personal energy issue once and for all,

Energy and temperature, therefore, are also closely interlinked. Reptiles are an easy example. Before I had a green Iguana by the Latin name “Iguana Iguana” From the moment they behave in slightly colder temperatures they freeze. It’s a natural response to utilize their energy as efficiently as possible.

In humans it works differently, we move more to heat up due to cold temperatures. I think you’ll agree with me when I state that when you go out during the winter you feel the urge to move around more to heat your body. While you do this, you’ll feel more alive than ever before.

Let me ask you: “Do you feel energized when you lay in the sun at 33°C ?

The majority of people prefer laying in the sun. Acquiring a tint can be great, but for most it’s not about that, it’s an escape route, it’s easy and it doesn’t require much energy. We, humans, are lazy by nature, it takes a certain mindset, a certain physical and mental effort to energize ourselves.

Too much leisure time or too long will make you feel drained.

You need to be stimulated before you can thrive.

The thing is, you are in control of applying that stimulus.

8. Barefoot Grounding

The power of grounding is often underestimated.

We walk on shoes most of the time. Shoes make long walks more convenient, yet you’re missing out on a few important things. We are electrical beings and our cells should be charged. Making barefoot contact with the earth will increase natural voltage and clear space between the cells in your body.

It’s an easy practice that everyone can easily perform, But it takes the least amount of effort to step outside barefooted daily.

9. Meditation

During meditation, high amounts of energy were recorded in the brain. Walking meditations, standing meditations, and sitting meditations.

A low sense of energy could be experienced because your Chakras are not well aligned. Visualizing your desires could be the magic route toward increased energy levels.

Positively visualizing your desires can align you back with nature and the universe. Channeling and moving energy through positive and decisive thoughts, create your perspective and feel as if you were there already.

Perspective induces great outcomes, building perspective is one interesting way to manipulate energy.

Take this

Energy is everywhere.

You have the option to choose how and when you will tap into an energy source as required. Much has to do with our mindset, and you hold the power to navigate and create the world around you.

“The only way to change your life is to change the energy field.”

-Joe Dispenza-

Understand that life is movement, both physical and mental movement or stimuli. Acquiring low activity levels by any means will accumulate into a chain reaction of numerous other problems, weight gain, bad sleep, poor productivity, depression, suicide, … Let’s bundle it and call it low energy if you will.

The question remains,

“Do you want to feel energized or do prefer to excuse your way out?”

The choice is always yours.
