Quickie: When Are Couples Most Likely to Try a Threesome?
The answer may surprise you

If you think that couples are more likely to try a threesome before they tie the knot, think again.
3Fun, an app that caters to swingers, asked 2,236 married couples when they first came up with the idea to have a threesome and 66.55 percent of them said it was after they had already walked down the aisle. In fact, most of the couples reported that they first became interested in threesomes after they had been married for quite some time.
“Women in relationships are more likely to lose their sexual desire after getting married within a year.”
According to the results:
- 23.79 percent of couples brought up threesomes in the first three years of marriage
- 15.56 percent discussed threesomes four to six years into their marriage
- 10.02 percent introduced a threesome seven to nine years after being married
- 17.17 percent first brought up threesomes after being married at least a decade
If you think those results are unexpected, you may also be surprised to learn that in the majority of cases — 62.7 percent — it was the wife who brought up the subject of the threesome in the relationship.
“Women in relationships are more likely to lose their sexual desire after getting married within a year,” said 3Fun’s spokesperson Jennifer White. “That’s a good explanation of why most couples want to try a threesome after getting married in the first three years and most of them are proposed by wives.”
