Random Drabble 80: “confines”

A Drabble is a work of fiction that is exactly 100 words. No more. No less. Please stick around for 30 seconds. Medium will be nice to me if you do.

Ethan stirred. He was in the confines of something dark. Was he blind? His most recent memory was of Doreen. He tried to sit up but could not, and he tried to stretch out his arms, but he could not. Panic washed over him. He was in a coffin.

His memories were vague. He punched that fucking Doreen because she wouldn’t kiss him. He remembered that. Then he raped her. She didn’t seem to mind. The bitch even made him a drink after.

It was getting really hot. What was that roaring sound?

The door to the cremation oven closed.

“Each day, I post a word for the following day. Your challenge is to write a drabble (a story of exactly 100 words) in which the day’s random word features.” Nancy Oglesby
