What you can do with the extra day in leap year 2020

Today is a day that only happens every four years. It’s an extra twenty-four hours to do whatever you want. And the best part is that day comes on a weekend.

Self-Care

If you are given an extra day, use it for yourself. That day is yours. Defend it and say no to everything that others want from you today.

You could, of course, work an extra day this year and earn more money, but is that the best you can think of?

How many things have you always wanted to do, but always put them off because you didn’t have the time?

Isn’t there a new restaurant you always wanted to try out? Today would be the day.

Have you been thinking about writing a book for years? Today you can sit down and write the first page.

Have you been tired and overworked all week? Then sleep as long as you want today. Take a nap if you woke up too early in the morning. Give your body the rest it needs.

Productivity

If self-care is not what you want because you prefer to be active rather than doing well, today is an excellent opportunity to go the extra mile.

Start your new blog, register the domain for your new startup, or write an additional blog post.

If you are an athlete, you can do extra training today. This year you can do one more exercise than last year, and you don’t even have to work hard to achieve it.

Today is an extra day to write, learn, plan, and move forward. If productivity is most important to you, this day is an opportunity for you.

Maintain relationships

In our hectic times, our relationships with other people often come off poorly. There is a friend we haven’t seen for months. Or what about a visit to the theatre with our partner, which we have postponed again and again?

Today is a day that does not exist in other years. We have an additional twenty-four hours that we should use for what otherwise comes too short.

Surprise your partners with the fact that you are going out together again. Call your old friend and ask him if he would like to meet you for a beer.

Without other people, our life would be dull and empty. In a leap year, we have one more day to take care of these people. Let’s take this chance.

Conclusion

Wherever your priorities in life are, you can dedicate an extra day to them today.

Or you can do something that usually falls behind your priorities. Whatever you do with this gift day, use it wisely.

Be aware that this day is a gift that you only have to accept. Today is an excellent opportunity to pause and get off the eternal hamster wheel for twenty-four hours.

Take care of your wellbeing, your dreams, or your loved ones.

Do anything but what you do every other day.
