What Would Life Be Like If You Let Go Of All Expectations?

I have goals and plans, that’s good, but what if I had no expectations or timelines for these goals?

How much freer and happier would my life be?

Right now I am worried and stressed about money and bills and finding my place in the world. If I didn’t have to stress or worry what would I do?

I would read and write and create all day. I would spend my time doing things I found interesting and share them with others. I wouldn’t have to worry about making money or getting views, I would be free to just do.

This applies to all aspects of life. My desire for a girlfriend will disappear as soon as I get one. But what if I lived my life now as if I had one already? How would I feel and what would I do if I was dating the girl of my dreams?

I would be more self-assured and self-confident.

I would be able to do the things I want without fear of failure or embarrassment.

The weight and pressure I put on myself would be lifted, I could breathe and relax.

That’s great, but is that level of safety and comfort bad for my drive?

Would I become lazy and complacent and stop working?

Or would I be free of expectations and thus open to whatever comes my way and happy to share it with the world? How do I get that level of contentment now, or am I not ready for it yet? Is there more I need to learn and do before I get to that stage of my life?

We’re on the path of life, it might not be going the way you want but it’s going the way it should.

We have to have faith and trust the process and keep working every day. It’s about mindset.

If we know who we are and what we believe, and stay on the path and keep going we’ll get to where we’re meant to be, even if it’s not where we’re expecting to go.
