20-DAY POETRY CHALLENGE
What Poetry Means To Me
A poetic prompt for day 13

“A surge of warm tingling feeling that awakens my frigid, slumbering soul — that is poetry to me”. — Josh Balerite Acol
POETRY for me is — a book of roses a hook of inspiration a look of tender love and piety a nook of endless comprehension a brook of babbling refreshing words a fluke feeling I felt when I got to quote once a duke I’ll be if I got to read a multitude of chapters a cook of chef poetic skills I become when I compose a good one
Poetry has been the heart and soul of someone deeply in touch with a mix of unspoken thoughts and sentiments. It has been with us through the passing of the years where poets have been stingy and watchful with words, composing a brief masterpiece yet conveying a concise thought. Furthermore, anybody can be a poet especially when one is in love. Can you relate, my dearest one?
This poetic form is my adaptation of my friend Sahil Patel’s 13th day prompt of the 20-day poetry challenge. Thank you so much, Sahil for the warm invite. Please do have time to read his version below:
My sincere thanks too, to all my poet friends who are with me in this poetry goal — dear Bhav Bhavna Narula, dear Geetika Sethi, Ntathu Allen, Lucy Dan 蛋小姐 (she/her/她), dear doc Fam Dr. Fatima Imam, and my dear doc Dr. Preeti Singh.
A million thanks to you for dropping by. Stay well and safe ever.
