What No One Will Tell You About About Competitive Niches
4 Elements To Help You Stand Out in Saturated Niches & Beat The Competition
No matter what people tell you, you can still be able to stand out in competitive niches and make it through the fog of results.
The good news is: we are being ruled by the algorithm, which works on a different basis compared to the traditional physical world.
In a physical world when visiting farmers market featuring many stands, you are more likely to go to the first few stands, grab what you need and move on. The physical positioning plays a role in detemining which stand you visit first. The same applies for articles that journalists write in newspapers, in which you are more likely to read the first few pages and close the newspaper. The positioning in the physcial space is fixed and cannot be changed.
In the digital world, our online products, services and content is determined by the algorithm by quality of the content and positioned according to popularity and engagement. Keywords and topics being searched play a role in pushing your content further into people’s eyes. The more reads, sales and likes you get the better your positioning is. It is not fixed and can be changed depending on your enagement rate, quality and uniqness.
Here are four things that no one will tell you about securing your place in a competitive niche:
- Don’t be intimidated by populated high competition niches.
- In most cases, niches that have a high competition rate are usually accompanied by high demand. When there is high demand, there is always a place for new creators to produce and sell.
- Many top creators may overuse the word ‘saturated’ or ‘populated’ as a way to scare further creators from embarking on this niche as it further creates competition for them. Don’t be fooled into believing this and make your own research instead.
- Everyone has their own unique touch that will appeal to others and you never know if your product will sell until you try it.
- Time is not important we make it out to be. It is not always those who publish first that will sell more. The algorithm doesn’t work that way, as the best product/design or content that gets the most engagement always wins, whether that’s through likes, sales, or reads.
