So, you want to learn how to manifest intentionally. I’m genuinely happy for you that you have come across the phrase “seventeen-second rule” and you have decided to pursue further reading and research. I deliberately include the word intentionally to describe manifesting because you should know that we are constantly manifesting, whether we believe it to be true, realize it, or accept it as so.

Every circumstance, person, feeling, and material possession you currently have in your life was manifested in the vibrational realm prior to showing itself in the physical realm and becoming *real.*

Now, if you’re new to the law of attraction, that’s incredible! When initially learning about a concept so much grander than the human race, it’s easy to get caught up with lots of sources telling you different things. Unfortunately, for some people, the law of attraction is sort of a new-age, cool thing to do or talk about, and many miss the point of what loa is really about. Please don’t let that deter you from the concept and overwhelm you. Baby steps are all you need to succeed.

The law of attraction is not a fad, and definitely not something new. You don’t need to be a hippy to practice it. You can have any religion or none at all and still incorporate the core principles into your life. There are no rules with loa, it just is. The law will be there whether you consciously utilize it or not, just as gravity is always an omnipresent force that we typically don’t give a second thought to.

My Experience With LOA

I have been practicing the law of attraction for over four years now, and at times, it’s no easy feat. Of course, it becomes easier in time as you educate yourself and witness real results right in front of you without even trying. I have had many successes through the years with asking for something and simply receiving it. There have been times where I manifested something I thought I wanted and then realized later I actually didn’t.

Practicing loa efficiently does not mean you will get rid of all of your troubles. But, when we shift our mindset and monitor our thoughts, we begin to transition our state of wellbeing and change our quality of life for the better. Minor inconveniences of the past seem to melt away.

For me personally, I have managed to regulate my impulse control, increase my patience, and become more accepting of what is. I have also gained more trust in the Universe as a whole to provide everything I could ever need and want in life. Overall, my life has improved since introducing intentional manifestation into my life.

The 17 Second Rule

Don’t listen to YouTubers and influencers who claim there is a magical essence to any of these tools. It is a universal law that is vibrational and is comparable to gravity which is a physical law.

Think of something you truly want, but not to the point of desperation. Not so easy, I know. With desperation or obsession, there is lack. When emitting lack, there is resistance. With resistance, there will definitely be delays in your wishes. Request, trust, and let go. Simple concept, yet extremely challenging to put into practice at times. That’s okay, start small and practice.

Seventeen seconds is the amount of time you should hold your desire in your mind’s eye with no interruptions in thoughts or clarity. Close your eyes and begin to daydream. Be as specific as possible and feel the feelings of actually having this experience, person, or thing already. It’s essential that you are not interrupted. If doubts should start to invade your daydream, start again, and maintain great clarity.

If it’s a car you want, imagine you sitting in the driver’s seat with your hands around the wheel, enjoying the smells of your new car, and the way you fit in your seat. If you have a specific partner in mind you would like to manifest, imagine your time together just as you would recall a memory with someone. Imagine spending time together doing things you would enjoy with them.

Maybe it’s cooking, going to the beach, or laughing together. Imagine love-making and intimacy — everything that would be typical in a real relationship with this person.

Focus and Believe — The Process

  1. Set the space. Make it meditative, be in private, and if possible, connect with nature. Whatever feels calming and grounding for you is optimal. Personally, I like to manifest alone in a wide-open grassland with the sun on my being and the sounds of nature around me. It is naturally calming to me which helps bring me into a state of focus more promptly.
  2. If possible, exercise before. We all feel amazing after a great workout, as it naturally raises our vibration by releasing endorphins. You will have to put in less work to reach a moment of peace if you are already halfway to being blissed out.
  3. Do some breath work to bring your body into a hyper-focused and relaxed state. Before you even think about manifesting, you need to be feeling good physically, emotionally, and mentally. This will foster faster results because you are removing any chance of resistance. You can try alternate nostril breathing, lion’s breath, or others.
  4. Focus. Choose your posture. Close your eyes, imagine what you want in great detail, and hold that thought for seventeen seconds. The feelings associated with these thoughts should be so profound that you feel as if you have it already. You should feel so happy that you experience tingling throughout your entire body, and maybe even a burning sensation in the space between your eyes (3rd eye).

If you feel called to, you can maintain specific mudras with your hands to keep the energy flowing. Maybe you want to ohm chant or you feel the desire to express yourself with a particular sound. Do whatever feels right and don’t inhibit yourself. That’s why privacy is essential during this experience.

5. If you can maintain this thought for longer, do it! If you keep getting distracted, take a moment to ground yourself and do what feels right for your body. Remember, it’s a practice.
