How to Make Visualization an Intentional Practice

The world is yours, all you have to do is imagine it first.

What is Visualization?

Everyone visualizes from time to time, even when it’s unintentional and they don’t realize it. Maybe they’re daydreaming about something they wish to happen. Or, they could be rehashing a sour memory in their mind as they try to make it play out differently.

Visualization is simply imagining something in your mind’s eye that may or may not actually have happened yet. Fun fact — your mind doesn’t know the difference between daydreams and reality!

How to Intentionally Visualize

How often should you visualize when you desire something? What borders on obsession which then leads to resistance?

Make sure you don’t make visualizations a chore. If you don’t feel like doing it, then simply don’t. If you choose to visualize each day and you do it long enough, they will become so strong that you are unable to decipher the difference between your dreams and your reality.

Paint the picture in your mind, feel the feelings of it, express gratitude for it as if you have it already. Become delusional, despite not having your desires yet. It really, truly does work! Try your best to visualize from a sense of pleasure — not from feelings of lack or not having it yet. Have fun with it and don’t take it too seriously.

Proceed With Caution as You Visualize

There have been times when I manifested something I thought I wanted, and then once I got it, I didn’t want it anymore — like a boyfriend who turned out to be exactly what I asked for but not what I truly wanted(eg very handsome, even with the body type and eye color I requested) as well as extremely intelligent but emotionally abusive and sexually forceful (obviously I didn’t ask for that.)

The trouble is I didn’t not ask for it. The things I asked for were given to me, per my request.

It’s important to be extremely deliberate with your requests. Be specific, and come from a good place. Never wish harm on others for your benefit. Karma’s a bitch. Take into thought all the people your manifestation will affect once it is granted. Everyone has heard the expression be careful of what you wish for. That applies to using loa!

Don’t Worry About How it Will Happen

It’s natural to try to plan out how your manifestation or request to the universe will possibly come true, especially if it’s seemingly unrealistic. When we try to plan things that are hard to plan, we introduce limiting beliefs into the vibration.

We second-guess if our desires will ever come true. We might even start to feel like a fool for wanting something in the first place. The best advice I can give you is to send your request to the universe and forget about it. I know, it may sound counterintuitive.

But for all of the requests I made briefly and with great intention that I have then promptly dismissed and forgotten about…those are the manifestations that were delivered the fastest — sometimes as fast as within the same hour!

People Will Judge You

I wouldn’t really consider intentional thinking the typical way of thinking for the average person I am surrounded by. Of course, my inner circle of friends are very similar to me in how we have similar thought patterns and beliefs, and I am lucky to have a space safe to discuss practical manifestation tools and successes.

If people think you’re strange for wanting to create your own reality, simply don’t share with them what you’re doing. I have had people in my past try to tell me how ignorant I am for believing in such a magical phenomenon that they made me feel bad about myself.

No one has a right to tell you what to do with your life. And who cares what others think for that matter? It’s essential to maintain as high of a vibration as possible when sending out requests. If that means removing people or withholding information about your personal spiritual practices, then so be it!

There are lots of viral manifestation methods all over the internet, and it can feel overwhelming at times. Take your time with becoming acquainted with various methods like the 3–6–9 and others. Whatever you do, enjoy the journey and do your research. You can have whatever you want — the universe is in your hands!
