Artificial Intelligence, Copywriting & GPT-4 Developments

What is GPT-4, and what are some of its new capabilities?

Greetings, my fellow wordsmiths and AI enthusiasts! Today, OpenAI announced the release of GPT-4. Let’s deep dive into OpenAI’s newest groundbreaking language model.

Now, I know what you’re thinking — “We’ve already got GPT-3, can it even get much better?!” And you’re not wrong: GPT-3 is a pretty impressive piece of tech. But trust me, GPT-4 is about to blow your mind.

GPT-4 has got some seriously cool new capabilities that are going to change the game for copywriters, students, and AI artists alike. Here are just a few of the things that GPT-4 can do:

  1. Answering complex questions: GPT-4 has been trained to understand and answer more complex questions than its predecessor. This means that it can tackle tricky subjects like philosophy, science, and math, and provide intelligent and nuanced responses. Hello, easy college essays!
  2. Improved reasoning: One of the limitations of GPT-3 is that it doesn’t really “understand” the text it’s generating — it just matches patterns in the data it’s been trained on. But GPT-4 has been designed to have a better understanding of cause and effect, which means that it can reason more effectively and generate more coherent and logical text.
  3. Multimodal learning: GPT-4 has been trained on a wider variety of data than previous models, including images, video, and audio. This means that it can “understand” and generate text based on what it sees and hears, which opens up a whole new world of creative possibilities. GPT-4 can use screenshots, diagrams, and photographs as input. You can literally take a photo of the contents of your fridge and ask it to come up with meal plans and recipes.
  4. Better conversation skills: GPT-4 has been designed to be more conversational than its predecessors, which means that it can engage in more natural and fluid conversations with humans. This has some exciting implications for things like chatbots and virtual assistants.

This is just a quick rundown of what GPT-4 is and its new capabilities. I’m incredibly excited to see what kind of amazing things people will be able to create with this new tech. For example, I used it to code retro video games:

Which companies are already building products with GPT-4?

You might be wondering who’s already jumped on the GPT-4 train. Well, I did some digging and here are some companies already using GPT-4 to create awesome products:

First up, Duolingo. They’ve integrated GPT-4 to take their language learning app to the next level. With GPT-4, Duolingo can offer deeper and more engaging conversations to their users. No more robotic, stilted language learning for you.

Second, Jasper AI. CEO Dave Rogenmoser confirmed that copywriting software Jasper will be rolling out GPT-4 soon, but interestingly only in the places where it outperforms GPT-3.5. Here’s the deets:

From the official Facebook Group. Check it out here.

What does this mean? Well, from my research, the text outputs are only subtly different: it’s the input where GPT-4 really shines. It can manage much more nuanced instruction. This means prompt engineers will be even more valuable than ever (hey, hit me up! See my contact info).

Next, we have Be My Eyes. They’re a company that helps visually impaired people by connecting them with volunteers who can assist them with daily tasks. With GPT-4, Be My Eyes can now use AI to describe complex visual information, making it easier for visually impaired users to understand the world around them.

Then there’s Stripe, the online payment company. They’ve implemented GPT-4 in their documentation system to make it easier for users to navigate and understand their services. Plus, GPT-4 helps Stripe combat fraud by identifying suspicious activity and flagging it for review.

Even finance giant Morgan Stanley is getting in on the GPT-4 action. They’ve employed GPT-4 to organize their vast knowledge base and make it easier for their wealth management team to access the information they need to serve their clients better.

Last but not least, we have Khan Academy. They’re using GPT-4 to create more personalized learning experiences for their users. With GPT-4, Khan Academy can tailor their content to individual users’ needs and offer more targeted and effective learning.

So, there you have it. These are just a few examples of how GPT-4 is already making waves in the tech world. Who knows what other cool stuff we’ll see in the future?

How to Get Your Hands on GPT-4 Right Now

You wanna get your hands on the latest and greatest AI language model out there — GPT-4? Well, here’s the deal as of March 14:

First off, to get access to the GPT-4 API you gotta sign up for the waitlist. But don’t worry, OpenAI will be gradually inviting developers to try it out, so keep your eyes peeled for that golden ticket.

Now, if you wanna jump the queue, you can contribute to OpenAI Evals by evaluating the model and providing feedback. This will earn you some sweet priority access to GPT-4 — the ultimate bragging rights!

If you’re really impatient (like me), you can also subscribe to ChatGPT Plus to get access to GPT-4 at https://openai.com/blog/chatgpt-plus. But beware, the usage cap will depend on demand and system performance, so you might not be able to go all out just yet.

And of course, you gotta pay to play. The pricing for GPT-4 API is $0.03 per 1K prompt tokens for the 8K context window, and $0.06 per 1K completion tokens. For the 32K context window, it’ll be $0.06 per 1K prompt tokens and $0.12 per 1K completion tokens.

Or you can get it via Jasper AI, which in many ways is better for writers and marketing professionals than Chat-GPT. Read more about why below. Plus, Jasper is less detectable as AI content, which is a huge advantage for students, and copywriters/SEO experts who require unique content.

Jasper Chat is also currently unmetered on plans, which is another bonus.

So, there you have it, folks. If you wanna be on the cutting edge of AI language modeling, sign up for the GPT-4 API waitlist, or check out Jasper AI and get ready to rock and roll!
