Newsletter updated on 04/29/2021 — About the book project

Dear Reader,

I hope you are well and that your weekend brings you peace and love, as well as lots of reading and writing. Today, I am very excited to announce that I am officially starting to work on the creation and publication of a book of poems written by the writers of Scribe!

I had discreetly mentioned this idea several times in the past few years, and this time I want to make this beautiful project come true. My goal is to publish this book of poetry in the course of the year 2021, in early September. I will give you more details soon, but I can already tell you a few crunchy things.

As I intend to do things well and professionally (there is no question of going through a basic self-publishing platform like Amazon), I have chosen to hire the services of a real self-publishing house and a literary agent.

The literary agency Librinova will take care of publishing the book and then distribute it in print and digital form in bookstores and on several online platforms, and will present it to several major publishing houses.

I also hired a very talented illustrator to work with me on the book. Clémence Dupont is a French illustrator who has already produced many book covers and collaborated with several publishing houses. For the little anecdote, she is a fan of dinosaurs! You can discover his work on her website.

To help me give birth to this book and imagine other major editorial projects, you can support the publication and my work via Patreon. I look forward to seeing you!

So go ahead, share this newsletter around you, and let’s create this book together with all the talented writers published here. I am sure you know many readers among your family and friends who are willing to support the project and who will be happy to hold this book of poetry in their hands!

Contribute to the creation of the poetry book

You could discover the pens of Darshak Rana this week in the column. I hope you enjoyed your reading. Darshak wrote these two poems: Do You Love Sunsets Too. I Won’t Die Without Fulfilling My Life.

From today and until next Sunday, I have the honor to invite you to read the writing of Tima Loku. Tima has published two poems on these pages so far, and I’m sure there will be more. Returning to the Source. One-Way Trip to Falling.

Three major pieces of fiction were published this week on Scribe. I’m sure you’ll enjoy reading them. The Anthropology of Us, by Trisha Traughber. The Distance, by Melissa Speed. Shadow of the Sun, by J.A. Taylor.

As for me, I wrote a story about a spider, another about a rabbit and cranes, and the last one about windows. No, I assure you I did not go crazy. Thank you so much for your reading and your lovely responses!

Take care, and keep writing! ♥︎

Thomas Editor-in-Chief
