What I Read This Week — The Highlights
For the week of December 17, 2023

When we read, we open our minds to new possibilities and new ideas. This allows us to expand our thinking and our worldview. It allows us to grow, and perhaps even reconsider beliefs that have been holding us back.
Being part of a reading and writing community like Medium is a great way for us to broaden our horizons, and learn new things every day. There is a wealth of information available to us here, and it can help to enrich our lives and make us better people.
Connecting through reading and writing with people all over the world, from different walks of life, is a huge gift. As an editor for two publications, I am lucky to be able to connect with a ton of different people and share their stories.
If you are interested in personal development, you can check out all the writers at The Orange Journal. And, if you are a woman looking to connect with other women writers, come check out Modern Women. These are two of the first publications I joined here on Medium, and I am lucky to have found such welcoming people.
Every week, I try to read more than I write here on Medium. This week, I read 27 lovely stories from a variety of writers.
Each week, I try to feature stories from different writers here on Medium that have helped me to take on a new perspective, or that have touched me in some way.
The first story I want to feature comes from Tired Feminist, and talks about the changing consent laws in Australia. This is an important issue that helps to make the landscape of relationships more fair and equitable for everyone.
Then, I have your horoscope reading for the new year from Lotus Laura. It sounds like 2024 is going to be a good year, and I wish you all the best! Check out what’s in store here.
I also have your spiritual lessons for 2024 from Emmarie Hodge. This is a great way to consult the Tarot to see what is in store for you on a spiritual level in the new year.
I hope you enjoy all these stories as much as I did! Have a wonderful week, my lovelies. Happy reading, and happy writing.
