What happens to me when I take an idea from another Medium story?

Writing and publishing daily on Medium requires effort. A writer knows how difficult it would be to write; when you are completely out of ideas. I am also one of those — who wants to publish the daily story on Medium but sometimes do not understand where to get the idea. For this, I read different stuff.

Similarly, a few days back, I wrote a story on Medium titled “Why Shakespeare’s Works Are Widely Read”, you can also read it via the free link given below.

I get the idea of the story after reading a recommended story shown on my Medium feed. I thought, if their literary story on Medium is working well, then why not I should try to write a similar story on Medium, so I write it.

To be honest, I rarely used to write a literary article on Medium. I saw a Medium article in my suggested list and started digging out a few things for my article. The story was about Malcolm X, and I decide to go with Shakespeare.

The intention behind writing a literary story on the medium is to get exposure, like the Malcolm X story. I thought my story will do a good job, but all in vain. Although my Medium story work well, it did not get many views according to my expectations. I get a little bit sad, but then let everything go.

The purpose of writing this story is to make you people aware that:

* Do not imitate someone — try to produce something that attracts readers. * True to yourself while writing on Medium. * The more you write by yourself, the more your stories will flourish. * Sometimes, your results are opposite to your expectation. * Try new ideas and explore new life by writing thoughts.

I hope you do not make fun of me for trying something new and sharing the results. It is just an experiment from my side as I did previously. You can see the results of my previous story by clicking the link below.
