What Gentle Power Feels Like for Me
I love being a gentle space-holder

My favorite pastime in my early twenties was watching endless Japanese anime featuring epic superheroes and supervillains. In almost every episode, these superheroes and supervillains would blast their powers, showing neon-colored power blasts destroying everything in their paths.
I could sense energies intuitively, but I didn’t know then that this could be made so tangible. I was so excited to see these subtle energies visible through the animations. Seeing it confirmed this truth for me.
I choose to ‘blast’ away life dramas
But I felt disturbed and disappointed whenever I saw these fighting scenes where powerful energies are used for destroying. Why would I want to destroy my world if I had this power? That feels so meaningless to me.
There are also other scenes where energy is portrayed as magical, light, and joyful. These energies make people float in delight and see their world through the lens of Wonder. Ah… This is the kind of power I’d love to have.
I don’t want to blast my power to destroy everything and everyone in its path as it ripples out from me.
I prefer to have a shimmery and twinkling ‘blast’ of power, helping people detach from their life dramas and truly witnessing their unique sparkling power. I’d love to see people starting to appreciate one another’s gifts and be delighted in co-creating with mutual respect.
I prefer the metaphor of holding space instead of blasting my power
Our feelings don’t have to either implode within us or explode from us. They can travel lightly, gently, and rapidly through us, so they can always be transmuted into more unconditional love.
Even the imagery of ‘blasting’ my power for ‘good’ feels too violent for me. I prefer to hold a safe, energetic space for others to process and unwind their feelings, so they can keep integrating wisdom from those feelings and move forward in their lives.
Our feelings don’t have to either implode within us or explode from us. They can travel lightly, gently, and rapidly through us, so they can always be transmuted into more unconditional love.
I already do this through facilitating Gentleness Ambassador interviews and facilitating online energy healing sessions using The Wonder Method.
It’s so fulfilling and satisfying to hear from my interviewees and clients that they also appreciate my gentle space-holding.

Aimée Gramblin wrote a sweet recommendation for me on LinkedIn about my interview with her. Thank you, Aimée!
“Bingz has a wonderful assortment of Gentleness Ambassador interviews published on Medium. I am honored to be included in her series as a sensitive writer in the public space. Bingz holds space in a gentle and supportive way that allows her interviewees to blossom in their thinking. I’ve enjoyed reading interviews with people from all walks of life all over the world. Bingz organizes these interviews into compassionate think-pieces that always shine beauty and new ideas to consider.”
This is the superpower I’m so grateful to have and keep using.
Final Thoughts
Growing up, I thought I was powerless because I thought power must be violent and destructive. But when I allowed myself to keep exploring, I found the type of gentle power that speaks to me and that I’ve started to build within me. I believe that our world becomes much more vibrant and empowering when we learn to trust and use our unique, innate powers.
Have you discovered your unique flavor of power?
