What Flavor Ice Cream Are You?
There are way too many flavors to be vanilla

Yesterday my son came home from school, and he was sad. I asked him what was wrong. He said that someone told him that he was weird.
He expressed to me that he felt he didn’t fit in. He said he wanted to be like everyone else. My heart broke. I remember feeling the same way.
I told him that he would fit in with the right people, and he didn’t have to be like everyone else. I mentioned that we are all unique and should be true to who we are.
I said you don’t want to be like everybody else. You wouldn’t be special then.
I mentioned if there were only vanilla ice cream, life would be boring. I asked him if he was ice cream, what flavor would he be?
I told him I would be rocky road because I have a soft heart like the marshmallows. I’m kind of nutty like the almonds and sweet like chocolate.
He smiled and told me that he would be caramel apple ice cream. I said I like it; that’s an original flavor!
He laughed, and said l love you, mommy, and hugged me. I told him that I loved him too, and he was perfect the way he was, and I would never want him to be anyone else but him.

Society wants us to think alike and be alike. But diversity and being different is what makes life interesting.
In a world that wants us all to be vanilla, what flavor are you? Let me know in the comments! 😊
