What Does Your Scribbling Say About You?

Did you know your scribbling/doodling actually hold more meaning than you might realize? Let’s find out!

***If you’re not yet a Medium member, click here to read the full story.***

Do you often find yourself in the middle of random sketches on your notebook, not realizing where the time flew by?

If you, like me, scribble or doodle on paper while writing, thinking, or listening, these signs might surprise you.

Your scribbling actually means something.

I’ve always been this way since I was a little girl, drawing random shapes — well, mostly hearts and flowers ;-) — on a paper while in class.

I’m now almost 47 years old and I still have the tendency to scribble.

Hearts, flowers, stars, random shapes, patterns, dollar signs and so on…

If this sounds like you and you’re interested in learning about what doodling or scribbling says about your personality, stick around and find out more with this short read.

I hope you enjoy. :-)

Hearts:

The act of drawing hearts suggests that you are a sentimental and affectionate person. You value emotional connections and often find yourself thinking about love and positive relationships.

Flowers:

Drawing flowers signifies a creative and nurturing personality. You may have a deep appreciation for beauty, and your doodles may reflect a desire for growth and harmony.

Random Figures:

If you find yourself doodling random figures, it could indicate a restless or imaginative mind. You might be someone who enjoys exploring new ideas and letting your thoughts flow freely.

Patterns:

Creating patterns in your scribbles may suggest an organized and methodical approach to thinking. You likely appreciate structure and order in your life.

Stars:

Drawing stars often reflects a desire for inspiration or a sense of optimism. It might indicate that you have aspirations, dreams, and a positive outlook on the future.

Dollar Sign:

If you find yourself frequently doodling dollar signs, it may indicate a preoccupation with financial matters. It could suggest a focus on wealth, success, or financial goals.

Racket:

Drawing rackets might reflect a competitive spirit or a desire for recreation. It could symbolize your interest in sports, games, or a need for leisure and play.

Fruits:

Sketching fruits might suggest a connection to nature, health-consciousness, or a craving for freshness and vitality. Different fruits could convey distinct aspects of your personality.

Sun:

Drawing a sun often signifies positivity, optimism, and a cheerful outlook on life. It may indicate a desire for warmth, happiness, or the pursuit of enlightenment.

Letters/Numbers:

Scribbling letters or numbers could signify a logical and analytical mind. It might suggest a focus on communication, organization, or a penchant for problem-solving.

Spirals:

If you tend to draw spirals, it could suggest a sense of introspection or a desire for self-discovery. Spirals often symbolize growth, evolution, and inner transformation.

Dots:

Frequent dots in your doodles might indicate a meticulous and detail-oriented nature. You may pay attention to the finer points and find satisfaction in precision.

Arrows:

Drawing arrows may reveal a goal-oriented personality. You likely have a sense of direction and focus on moving forward in your life.

Faces:

Sketching faces, even if they’re simple doodles, may indicate a strong interest in people and relationships. It could suggest a sociable and empathetic nature.

Clouds:

Doodling clouds might reflect a dreamy or imaginative mindset. It could suggest that you often drift into thoughts about possibilities and the future.
