When Adele sat down for an exclusive interview with Oprah, she said —
You only need to go through Adele’s Instagram account to see what losing 100 pounds looks like but it is only her who can tell you how it feels like.
When Adele made her appearance on SNL, She even made a joke about it in her opening monologue.
“I know I look really, really different since you last saw me,” Adele said. “But actually, because of all the Covid restrictions…I had to travel light and I could only bring half of me, and this is the half I chose.”
But for celebrities like Adele, people would have an opinion about her body regardless if she gained or lost weight. The same goes for male celebrities like Will Smith when he lost 20 pounds.
And in the same interview with Oprah, she feels bad that some women felt that she ‘betrayed’ them now that she isn’t of the same body type as theirs.
But we have to remember, ‘our body, our choice.’
Adele said, her new body is a result of exercise and that she didn’t plan to lose the weight. She did it to help her with her anxiety.
And it did.

The context here is that celebrities live lives beyond what ordinary men and women like us can ever dream of.

Still, we shouldn’t focus on what we don’t have, like trainers and chefs to cook us diet food, but we can hack our way to losing a few pounds by doing it in our way and with the support of our loving friends and family.
The Sirtfood diet, which was first introduced in 2016, is still a trendy issue, and it entails adherents eating a diet high in ‘sirtfoods.’
The Sirtfood diet is a diet that focuses on foods that contain sirtuins.
Sirtuins are a type of protein that is found in many foods, including red wine, chocolate, and blueberries.
The diet was created by two nutritionists, Aidan Goggins and Glen Matten, who believe that sirtuins can help with weight loss, aging, and disease.
These unique foods, according to the diet’s creators, function by activating specific proteins in the body called sirtuins.
Sirtuins are hypothesized to keep body cells from dying when they are stressed and to regulate inflammation, metabolism, and the aging process.
Sirtuins are known to affect the body’s ability to burn fat and enhance metabolism, leading to a weekly weight loss of seven pounds while retaining muscle mass.
However, other scientists feel that this is not due to fat loss alone, but rather to alterations in glycogen storage in the skeletal muscle and liver.
The list of the top 20 sirtfoods provided by the Sirtfood Diet includes: kale, strawberries, red wine, soy, parsley, onions, dark chocolate (85% cocoa), matcha green tea, buckwheat, extra virgin olive oil, walnuts, arugula (rocket), bird’s eye chili, turmeric, Medjool dates, lovage, red chicory, capers blueberries, and coffee.
Bonus: Adele’s favorite Go-To salads for lunch from themodernnonna
✨One of Adele’s favourite Go-To salads for lunch. This chopped kale salad with toasted walnuts and apples is a dream.
I was going through my emails the other day and my friend Jane sent me an article that was on apple news written by eatthis.co.
It was an article on some of Adele’s go-to meals and salads and this one caught my eye. As you know I don’t follow celebrity news but I do enjoy and appreciate a good salad when I see one.
I don’t know how it was chopped or the exact measurements as it only listed the ingredients so I made it according to my taste buds.
The article didn’t mention honey in the dressing but I felt like it needed some sweetness to offset the tartness from the lemon.
You will need:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
5 sprigs of kale — approximately 4 cups of chopped kale or any lettuce
1 finely diced celery stalk — leave it out if you don’t like celery
1 thinly diced apple of choice
7–8 toasted walnuts
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The Dressing
2 tablespoons olive oil
juice of 1/2 a lemon — to taste
1/2–1 tablespoon honey or agave — optional
salt and parsley to taste
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Please note: you can add chopped dates, goat cheese, use pears instead of apples, any nuts/seeds you like, pomegranate seeds or anything your heart desires. I enjoyed it with 2 poached eggs on top but feel free to add any protein on top. Roasted chickpeas would be amazing
