Coca Cola is one of the world’s largest consumed beverage. The company holds a total net worth of 84 billion USD, and this carbonated beverage is sold in 200 Countries.
The company is successful not only because of its taste but also its adaptability, ability to sustain in the market, and by creating an identity by doing minor changes to itself.
Do you know?
How many bottles did coca-cola sell in its first year?
25?
Wrong, it was false news that spread but, actually coke sold with an average of 9 glasses per day, and have scaled it to rank itself in the top 10 most consumed beverage in the world.
Scalability
Coca-cola never sells the bottled drink but, they sell a decoction to their franchisee who are in all parts of the world.
It has helped in the fast growth of the company as they had a specific formula to sell their burden to take licenses, procurement, Sales in all countries reduced as it was all handled by the respective franchisees of all the Countries.
On the other hand, Coca-Cola made sure to provide a good taste that became popular and soon rose to fame, allowing countries to encourage sales of this drink in India.
Geo Importance
The beverage giant keeps an eye on all its target markets to ensure it is reaching the territory.
In India in the year 1993, Coca-Cola acquired Parle’s brands Thums Up Gold spot and Limca.
Thums-Up was an ideal brand in the subcontinent as it was more strong in taste and was able to retain its fizz even when less refrigerated.
Coca- Cola gave more priority to Thums-Up in India as its taste was more favorable and started promoting the parent brand simultaneously.
It shows how well they were able to capture a market by understanding the demand of the local market.
Price
Even after mass popularity, the company has kept prices relatively low to target mid-segment as if there is a mass production it reduces the Operational Cost ultimately resulting in More Revenue.
Curiosity
Coke has always kept the formula secret.
It has made itself a topic of discussion among many people and has incited curiosity among a lot resulting in word of mouth marketing.
