4 Life-Lessons from Tom and Jerry Show
Every Character has something to teach us
We all keep on running in our life’s race.
How many of you have seen this show where a Cat and Mouse keeps on chasing each other?
The comedy show has made us laugh in our childhood and even today, but if you notice it carefully from an adult point of view, this show has a lot to learn from it.
What Tom and Jerry Teach us
Strong Will power
Both of these characters are not ready to accept defeat, as they are the Go-Getters.
Every time one of them fails ( although I have seen mostly Tom failing), they are ready to bounce back.
These characters teach us to keep a strong will power. We will fail multiple times to rise one time,
here is another short real-life story.
Story of A Sri-Lankan Cricketer
This Cricketer made a debut in International Cricket, but he failed to impress selectors by making a 0 and 1 in the first and second inning.
Again was called next year, but he could only score 0 and 0 in both innings, and this continued for four years.
But the difference was, last time when he was on the Team, he scaled up his performance to score some great runs and emerged as one of the best Captains of Sri-Lanka.
The Man was Marvan Attapattu.
He also had thought at some part in his life to quit, but his will power to continue was the one that allowed him to become one of the greatest Test match players of Sri Lanka.
Consistency
Both of them have an option to part ways, but they choose to irritate each other. They have their own set of goals. While Jerry looks out for cheese, Cat has an objective to throw jerry out.
In achieving their goals sometimes results in messing up of the entire house or Tom getting screwed by the lady landlord, but the chase continues, it teaches us how goal- centric as well as consistent they are.
None of them is ready to give up when Tom comes with his loads of ideas, the mouse is always ready to counter.
Innovation
Every time any of these characters’ tricks fail, they can be seen immediately running to try a new trick.
Surprisingly most of the tricks are new, they teach us how we should train our minds and keep trying.
Take any success story, and all you will see hard work along with consistency was able to mold a person that made a never give up attitude to him.
There will be failures, bad days, but what will keep you going is the innovation to try new ways to succeed.
Nothing is called a bad experience, every experience teaches us something or the other.
The Last One “ Always smile.”
As we saw, always one of them carried a smile on their face and gave the audience a dose of laughter.
Sometimes we forget to even smile on our achievements, but we make sure to be upset on the smallest of our problems, and we must not as a smile is a precious element that should spread in abundance.
Keep Smiling !!! It doesn’t cost a penny.
Conclusion
These were some of the learning I have noticed from this entertainment-packed show. There will be more lessons and inspirations around us if we take them. As I wrote last time that even ants have something to teach us, it is just that we have to be a great learner in every aspect of life.
