What Can Be Learned

There isn’t much that can’t be, but did you know . . .

Knowledge is NOT wisdom. Knowledge is the “acquaintance with facts, truths or principles, as from study or investigation.”

As writers, we always seek more knowledge on topics of interest to us and our readers. Is it really so difficult to come by? As writers, we read thousands of words—sometimes a word, a sentence, or just a prompt. On the subject of prompts, I want to inform you that our own Dancing Elephant Press has just published a new book of prompts.

Many of us have so many stories and pieces of information we call knowledge that should be shared, but do we? Enter the value of a Prompt. A total of fifty-two, more or less. Some of the prompts suggest unique ways to use the prompt.

My experience, and probably yours, is that a single word can set off a remembrance of an experience that should be shared. Your knowledge gained on life’s stage. It turns out that a good prompt, combined with the knowledge you already have, is needed for a great post, article, or story.

Oh, they already know that you say, really. Maybe they do, but your unique way of sharing the knowledge may be what they need to remember to use their already existing knowledge. You could be the one that gives them drive, commitment, or the desire to accomplish or be something more than they are. Your story, post, or article could be the catalyst to change. Lasting change.
