We have entered the Golden Age of Medium!
I can’t wait to stop obsessing about my Clap Count and start obsessing about some other Metric that will be updated every couple of seconds!
Won’t that be fun?
Plus — starting today, we all going to start writing posts that are long and interesting!
And we’re all going to start reading slowly and carefully.
Long form narratives! Yum.
Everything on this platform is totally coming up roses.
There is no cause for alarm. Or concern. Or anxiety.
Even if you really liked Medium the way it was.
Like I did.

I totally trust that our beloved Medium Overlords have made a wise change that will not turn this platform into poo or make my earnings plummet.
Just think — everything I thought I knew about Medium is probably meaningless.
How cool is that?
All the rules I relied upon have changed!
What could possibly go wrong?
Nothing. Nothing at all. It’s all going to be hunky-dory.
