Welcome to ILLUMINATION’S MIRROR the latest publication from ILlUMINATION, ILLUMINATION-Curated, Technology Hits founder, Dr Mehmet Yildiz.

When faced with a problem Medium has no solution for this man creates his own solution! The original publication, ILLUMINATION, has become so popular with writers (and readers) that it requires more than the 42 editors it has.

When Medium advised the Dr they had reduced the number to 30 per publication, he simply created a mirror of ILLUMINATION. No problem is too great. A mirror ILLUMINATION means another 30 much needed editors!

So here we are with a selection of new writers and editors on the new publication.

First up is Holly Kellums, a writer and editor for I-MIRROR. She asks some exceptional questions. If we as individuals want to change the world one step at a time, I beleive we need to answer these questions honestly and persist in our attempts to do the right thing.

Any moral or spiritual principle, even when viewed as an asset, will in excess, become a liability.

I appreciate the fact that sometimes, trusting the process is the best way for us to be of service. I understand that everything doesn’t have to be addressed right now and that treating everything like an emergency or a huge problem to be fixed is drama, filled with an addiction to the energy of desperation.

The Dozen, also a writer and editor for I-MIRROR, takes a look at his attitude towards gratitude during 2020 and found himself lacking. So he’s planning to do something about this year!

I’m no saint.

I believe in the value of gratitude, but I’m not always grateful. I haven’t put in the effort to be grateful this year. I’ve let myself become angry.

On many occasions, I took the easy path in a year where everything went wrong. It was easy to find triggers. Pandemic, lockdowns, curfews… loss of freedom, change of plans… the list is long.

With a bully boss like Jennifer Friebely’s I have nothing but admiration for her ability to remain calm!

I responded with — “Jack,* I’m right here.” Completely acknowledging the offensive words I had just heard him shouting into the receiver. What’s more, he didn’t say anything like, “I wasn’t saying that to you. I was yelling at so and so.” He did nothing of the kind. He went in the opposite direction.

Here’s a second story from Jennifer because I like her topics and style!

I realized that I have been suffering from misophonia for the better part of my life. I have ended relationships because I couldn’t stand the sound of a person’s chewing or even the way they swallowed their coffee. It really wasn’t them — it was me. I wasn’t lying. I didn’t know why I couldn’t stand them.

Nick Wong points out that it’s important we look after ourselves and suggests some sage advice to help us achieve our best.

Have you ever felt that you could’ve done so much more?

You had plans for the day but ended up spending the entire afternoon scrolling your social media feed, discovering how others are having the time of their lives while you’re rotting away on your couch.

As somone who has played the waiting and boarding games reguarly in her lifetime Dominique Willis’ piece is most entertaining.

The pregame begins when you arrive at the gate. You’ve finished with the theatrics of TSA and after taking a short walk, you’ve arrived at the “cattle call.” Your eyes dart around lasering in on the people already starting to line up. Other people hang around the periphery, clenching their bags in a wide-legged stance, for they must remain nimble for these games.

Let’s finish off with janny’s heart another writer, poet, and editor for I-MIRROR.

Did you experience challenges in 2020 too
