Weekly Wisdom from Karen
ILLUMINATION Edition #motivation #selfimprovement #success #spirituality #curiosity
What shall we have this week? We’ll start with the universe and end with God. Next and in between, there are some excellent existential questions. Also, some chills and persuasive paragraphs encouraging us to be curious.
Do you need a bit of motivation? How about some inspiration? Well, Matt Davis Motivation, shares his friend’s story and offers us both nouns in spades.
Ryan was a top-notch kid. In high school, he played varsity baseball and graduated with a 4.3-grade point average. He mostly kept his head down, did his work — and did what he was supposed to.
Lyle Grossi gives us a lot of wisdom in his self-improvement piece. We’ll all do well to take notes.
We live in a world of what is considered complicated. Why doesn’t this work? How could he do that? What was she thinking? Could I have done this instead?
Can we as people thrive under pressure? Diamonds do. All of them are shiny and sturdy. They are one of the hardest substances on Earth.
More motivational and inspirational wise words from Mary Beth Hazeldine. The BBC advised students years ago to revise for exams in manageable chunks, bitesize pieces.
Success can be easy if we commit to a goal and break it down into small achievable tasks. But, the magic comes in never giving up. You need to be persistent and keep going.
Allow yourself to dream big. What do you “really” want to achieve?
Noorain Hassan, BMS has a pleasant writing style and easy reading format. She also brings some excellent advice to the weekly wisdom party.
I am not going to use old-fashioned words here: like brainstorming. But analyze ideas, even write down points — don’t start writing the next minute you are blessed with ideas (Ughh…tiring). Whipping oneself is no way to write calmly.
A captivating story from Heather Beatty. The penultimate paragraph caused chills up my arms and tear to spring to my eyes. A stunning ending.
We can all learn so much from her story. Thanks are not enough. Her parents, Heather herself and her daughter, give us hope and the desire to open our eyes and be curious. We owe her a debt of gratitude for the realisation their wisdom has given us.
Having billions at your disposal to change the world doesn’t hurt, but believing wealth is imperative to alleviate suffering and inspire change, is a pervasive myth. Over the past twenty years, I’ve travelled to various countries and places within my own that are rich in culture and hospitality but often equally steeped in poverty and various injustice.
Curiosity brings a passion to learn and explore and connects with your desire to sacrificially give of your abilities and resources for the benefit of others.

As prolific writers go, Bill Abbate is up there and a stratosphere above many of us. He also posts his Medium articles every day in various Facebook groups. The latest is SYNERGY, which is a new group you might like to join and take advantage of getting read by moderators Bill and Noorain Hassan, BMS and many others from all the ILLUMINATION family publications.
Bill’s wisdom provides us with significant information to take to heart and act upon. He also has a winning writing style. A pleasure to read.
Being a heathen myself, I’m not sure about the postscript. Each to their own.
What you do and who you are becoming determines your future. Why do so few take it seriously? Why indeed. I hope you will take it seriously.
How do you view wealth? Do you see it merely as money and possessions, or do you see it in a broader sense? What if I told you, you are already wealthy? In your possession is the potential to create wealth beyond anything you have imagined, in ways you may not have considered. Let’s take a closer look at what wealth means in life.
Knowing the difference between happiness and joy is rather important. More important is to understand the differences. Imho.
Are you happy? Are you full of joy? What is the difference? Aren’t they the same or similar? If you are not sure, it will help to know the difference.
Thank you for reading. #becurious
