Weekly Roundup — June 5, 2021

My week in writing

Photo by Patrick Fore on Unsplash

Hola…

Back again with another recap of my week’s published stories. There are stories written that I haven’t published (yet), and stories that I haven’t finished (and some that don’t want to themselves finished)

Fantasy

There is Power in the Story” is my first real classic fantasy story, and Fantasy Shorts, which I believe to be the premier fantasy publication on Medium, accepted it. (If there are others currently accepting submissions, please let me know.)

Writing Prompts

One of my favorite ways to write is to take the weekly prompt from a publication, like Centina Pentina, Microcosm, or The Bad Influence, and make them my own.

Random Stories

Random stories just come from my imagination, without writing prompts. I worked on several this week, but I only finished and published this one.

Stories About Monaxiá

I created a small paradise with hidden danger to write a series of stories around. I added to the mythos of this mystical place with one story this week.

Others have published works about this world, which I will eventually document in an index for these stories.

IMAGES

I wrote several non-fiction short stories based upon photographs that I had taken. I plan to continue to combine my passion for writing with my love for photography to create unique views and stories.

And this makes the week of June 5th, 2021, a wrap.

Thanks for reading my tales.

Paul Mansfield is a writer, a photographer, a guitar player, a philosopher — some he does well, some not so well, but he still tries them all.
