Hello, my lovelies, and welcome to the last full week of August. Wholly Buckets!!! The last week of August??? Already??? Yeppers and I couldn’t be happier. We’ve finally had almost a full week of temperatures that dipped below 95*. I’m not a fan of the cold, but extreme heat is almost as bad. Does that make me a fair-weather friend??

I’m so excited for Autumn. I love it when the trees begin to turn colors and the temperatures start to cool down. That means it’s time for hooded sweatshirts, hot chocolate, and college football. Yes, my friends, I am a huge college football fan. I’m the old broad who stands on her couch screaming at the television. It’s a rush.

Okay, let’s get on with this, shall we? Here are your weekly writing prompts for August 22–28, 2022. Jump in and have fun.

And there you go, my writing warriors. This week’s writing prompts. I hope you all find a little something to get you inspired. Most times, I’m as unaware of what I’ll come up with as you all are. But I’m never disappointed at what you all come up with from my prompts.

Remember, if you publish something from one of our prompts, be sure to tag me (@sapheyerblu) and leave a link to this post so others can come play too. And if you’re looking for a place to publish your work, check out our sister site, Amusing Responses. We accept responses to writing prompts from all around the platform. All we ask is that you link back to the original post and tag the prompt creator. Also please use one of the following tags: “Fiction”, “Poetry”, or “Creative Nonfiction”. That way your work will end up in the right category.

Thank you all, again, for coming by week after week. You make my job both easy and fun. I can’t wait to see what you all come up with this week. Now that the month is almost over, I’ll be around a lot more. Keep up the good work. I’m proud of each and every one of you.

Until next time, Happy Writing!!!
