The aim is to take each secret, sit with it and let it inspire a story.
See where the secret takes you, think of the person who told it, imagine their lives, their world, and their relationships.
Remember, these are honest, real secrets sent anonymously to PostSecret.com.

This Week’s Prompt Screams for A Story
Which way will you take it?
Just what was that blank cheque of a threat? What sort of harm did they intend? Or was it more the sort of threat that you'd welcome, leaving the door to your Red Room open?
There's just so many ways to read this.
Was it a game? Was it a trap? Was there counter-revenge planned?
It's up to you, you tell us how it started or how it ended? Or what training montage led to this moment.
Challenge Requirements
Your story must:
- Tell us a fictional story related to this threatening secret.
- Be min 100 and max 1000 words long, excluding the title, subtitle, and any post-story bio/links. (We use Medium’s own word count feature.)
- Use “Secret Threat” as one of your five tags. We recommend Fiction, Flash Fiction and maybe your genre too. But it’s your choice.
- Please link back to the prompt so others can find it easily.
