We don’t talk anymore — at all. We can be in the same house or even in the same room for that matter, and we still don’t verbalize words.
In fact, we have been in bed together texting each other. I’m not talking about I’m downstairs and she is upstairs. I’m talking about she is so close to me that I can and often do, reach over and touch her. Yet, we still text one another as if breaking the silence would be breaking an unwritten rule. It wasn’t like this when we first met. We didn’t live in the same state and that’s probably why we spoke on the phone so often. But we took telephone conversations to a total new level. Isn’t it insane some of the things you do when you first fall in love?
