We Bring Light to those Dark Corners
Glowworms, fireflies, and our lit torches
We will live for a purpose maybe mightier than us and help to change the world maybe not the whole wide world; our impact may not be that significant but no matter how very tiny and no matter what may happen to us and ours at the very end — we could be glowworms or we could be fireflies — the wild birds of the night may find and feast on us yet we cheer up other beings even if in their bellies but we must light up that space we occupy; even where we won’t count and maybe left out of the footnotes and erased out of the pages with our story unwritten our existence unrecognized. We could still be lighthouses pointing to the safety of the harbor for seafarers or maybe just lit torches in the surrounding darkness or we could be beacons, marking the covered distance and offering hope to make the travelers take just one more step on that long and tiring journey home — our life may not call for a decoration but we’ve hemmed it with some purpose
