Waves Of Contempt
A Poem Exploring Turmoil And Self-Value
Waves of corruptible intent Flooding over me in their dark attempt Is it self-sabotage or a rotten desire? It lurks, abominably, and coerces with lyres
When was the time I was truly thriving? Drowning in fictions, filled beyond my hearts eyes Their sweet caress, Lycans of truths and lies This wave it comes, quickly now, there is no hiding
Come at me! Your feeble crusades have always defeated me! Alas, who has tracked Eden’s remedy?
We are such stuff that dreams are made of Truth to be found in our paradoxical love Contradiction, balance unknown, much confusion Truth as they touch in supernova contusions Waves of contempt, it’s there they delve Take those currents, create of them benevolence To form goodness out of malevolence For hell is a real place, it’s in our selves
Ride those waves to their darkened ends As they’ll hit spirit’s shores and fade again As you raze those tides for new ones to rise To raise thy soul, it requires one part’s demise
